I agree, they don't seem very far apart. How far back are you sitting?

Thanks. I love em...I took these pics when I first got em and now that I have that nice Axiom 12 gage wire hooked up, I pushed them out further and have them toed in. I'm sitting approx. 9 feet away. Two questions if some one could help me with..how can I stabilize the towers from tipping over(I have an active three year old)...should I be making use of banana plugs. Do they make a difference in sound?

Banana plugs are really just used out of convenience, they won't improve the sound any. In fact, someone at Axiom(Debbie?) told me that they bare wire the speakers at Axiom. As far as stabilizing the towers, there are a few outriggers available online and at some audio stores that will effectively increase the footprint of the speaker, thereby making it more stabile.
Here's an example.

Someone needs to make an adapter that converts banana connections into bare wire. Ha ha.
