M22 v3 Bookshelf Speakers
Rated 5.0 Stars Based on 104 Reviews.
I am VERY, VERY happy with the sound. Reason I bought? Having heard them in a friend's home sold me. Price was not much higher than big-box store speakers with much better sound. I appreciate your approach - Super quality, reasonable prices, direct sales to customers. Just keep it up.
The Axiom speakers tied into my big woofer are just out of this world! Their performance with classical organ music has got to be heard to believed. Tell the designers that they have achieved perfection!
I have a small listening room and yet the M22's fill it with the best sound I have ever owned. I am using it with a 12" BIC 200 watt sub and am in audio nirvana. All that is said about the customer service and sound quality at Axiom is true. If ever I have a large area to fill, bet on me purchasing the M 60's or M 80's . For now, I could not be more pleased. And, kudos to audioreview.com who first turned me on to Axiom. For $500 or less, I did not believe I could have such accurate and yet thrilling sound! I will spread the news....
my listening experience was cheated by not having m22s 30 years earlier...internet process well designed well implemented well done axiomaudio
"Although the m22s do not have much in the low end, I love their crystal clarity..and so does my mother whom I bought them for...As for Axiom, I live in Massachusetts and was amazed at the speed of delivery. Great professionalism"
"The sound is tailor made to suit my tastes and the pricing is very competitive. I think you guys are doing an excellent job with customer service and the shipping has always been fast."
"For what it is worth, I replaced my ancient MK's with your guys set up. It was like going from black and white to color."
"I bought these because I found some excellent reviews online; the speakers are a good deal, and I like the design and the fact that they are pretty compact and have a great sound."
I now have a pair of M22's and a VP150 connected to a new Denon 2112CI. This was an upgrade from a 2 yr old Onkyo receiver and Polk Monitor series speakers. All I can say is WOW what a difference. All of my favorite songs are new again. I can hear instruments and singers that are there but just didn't come out with the old setup. I learned about Axiom from a serious audiophile friend. I am very pleased with my decision to purchase Axiom. Highly recommended.
The M22s are great speaker for the money. I've had the v2s for 4 years now and have no regrets about the purchase. They have the rare ability to reproduce sound with EXTREMELY low distortion above 60Hz, and are extremely flat from 80Hz to the very highest of frequencies. It's a blessing and a curse depending on the quality of the recording. These speakers won't mask bad recordings like other "warm" sounding speakers. But on the plus side they won't muddle a great recording like all "warm" sounding speakers do. The bass response is 100% dependent on your room and when equalized properly can play flat down to around 50Hz. With an extreme EQ I can get them to play flat to 30Hz, but the 5" drivers simply don't have the throw to keep up at medium to loud listening levels. In a perfect world I would pair them with a sub-woofer crossed over in the 70-80Hz range in order to free up the M22s to do what they do best. For those that don't have the luxury of owning a sub-woofer like myself I'm happy to tell you it isn't necessary. My M22s running full range sound better than ANY 2.1 setup you can buy for the same price.
Received the speakers today great timing. Hooked them up and got the speakers to about half or less volume I got scarred and had to turn the speakers down, I thought the windows were going to blow out. The more they warm up the better they are going to sound. Thanks again for such a superior Canadian product. Still love my other speakers I got from you.
everything looks great. They sound awesome. Thanks for the exceptional service.
ive just plugged it in, currently burning them in with a little crowded house. Beautiful!!!!!!" ive been grudgingly listening to music on computer speakers for a few years ( i move around alot) its an absolute delight to hear my music again, not a vauge approximation.
I just want to let you know that I am completely satisfied with my purchase. My M22s (and stands) were shipped quickly and arrived with no problems. I hooked these bad boys up and my jaw dropped! It sounded like Diana Krall was right there in my living room! Amazing! I only initially purchased the pair to trial the Axiom sound. I love the sound and, let's just say, I will soon have a complete AXIOM 7.1 system. Thanks Axiom!
I recently purchased these speakers and hooked them up to my tiny new 1bit sharp theater system. high tech but only about twenty something whats per channel. took the speakers over to my friends place who has nice quality sound all throughout his house. amplifiers, powered speakers, nice receivers, cable, etc. anyway in one of his rooms, he had some powered roland monitors that in the past i thought were so nice and he paid $600.00 each for the roland bookshelf type speakers. i brought my axom top end bookshelf speakers and he hooked them up where his rolands had been and these speakers sounded soooo much cleaner and sweeter than the rolands i had just recently truely enjoyed. when i told him the cost of only $220 u.s. per speaker with no tax and free shipping----he actually made the comment that i was showing off!!! after hearing these speakers connected to more powerful, nice equipment, i was even more impressed with the quality of the sound. very nice!
I've been listening to my new M22ti speakers for 3 weeks now. I have them hooked up to a Yamaha RX-596 stereo receiver (80 watts, 120 watt dynamic headroom). For the first week, I listened to a variety of different music, ranging from your suggestion of Bavarian Highlands (great album by the way) to home-made frequency-modulated sine waves. I was fairly impressed with the clarity of the sound. Voices sound like human beings, not robots; hi-hats are nice and crisp (I am a percussionist); and orchestras fill the room nicely (I have a relatively large appartment). The only lacking department, these being bookshelfs, was in electronica music, where the bass was simply insufficient to make the floors vibrate. This being said though, my roommate's system (worth a few thousand more than my own) performed more poorly than mine in all of my tests. This was impressive since his speakers have 6 1/2 drivers, whereas the M22ti have only 5 1/4 drivers. This first week of testing made a good first impression. For the following two weeks of testing, I added a Polk PSW404 subwoofer to my system (sorry, I bought it before I learned about AxiomAudio). This addition did not really change the sound quality of classical music in general, although it might have added some depth and definition. The difference can be felt mostly for rock, jazz, and electronica, where the kick-drum and the bass make a significant contribution to the musical experience. The M22ti intergrate really well with the sub (I have to turn the sub off to convince myself that it's actually working). All-in-all an interesting musical experience no matter my immediate auditory needs. Finally, I should say that I discovered AxiomAudio by pure luck. I was last-minute surfing for reviews on another brand of speakers (my mind was set on buying these, although I had last-minute regrets because I had not been impressed when listening to them in a local store). Shopping for speakers is a disaster. The vast majority of reviews are not helpfull at all and can be misleading. Anyway, I somehow ended up on the AxiomAudio website and clicked on Bookshelf speakers. I was initially impressed by the look of the speakers: they did not look like toys made for gullible amateurs. Then, there was the fact that I could listen to them at home for one month. The website was also professional, with a newsletter that was truely informative. I told myself that I had nothing to lose...and I didn't. I will not be returning these speakers. Thank you, Sincerely,
I am very pleased with my new Axiom speakers. I am also grateful for your obvious concern for your customers. From purchase to delivery, I've been impressed with the professionalism demonstrated by everyone involved at Axiom.Thank you,
I received my speakers on Monday and immediately took them home and set them up. I am so happy about my purchase from Axiom. Being an opera fan, detailed sound was a priority as I made my speaker selection. I couldn't be more pleased with your great product the M22. I can't wait for my friends to hear them. Thank you for a very fast delivery of this very fine product.
Thank you for outstanding customer service. Please pass along our compliments to your co-workers. I sent an email asking for assistance in choosing a speaker and received a response within 30 minutes. I ordered the speakers On-line and we received our speakers the next day, before we even had time to check the Purolator website ! Wow ! You guys are good !
Yep ... they're here and they sound fantastic! I was also surprised to see that they made it here so quickly. Thanks and best wishes from Southern California!
The speakers are terrific. You will be interested and maybe mortified to know that they are currently being powered by my JVC office-type CD player/clock radio. I hope someday to have ten minutes to figure out which amp to buy. Thanks so much for the great product, service and follow-up, Amie.Kind regards,
Thanks for the follow up. I love the system, and love your excellent customer service. You definetly have a repeat customer.
I just wanted to let you know that the M22ti and FMS16 arrived on today without any problems. And everything seems to be working fine as well. Thanks a lot.
Just got the speakers and I've found I'm falling in love with my music all over again. Hearing things I haven't heard before. The sound is very clean without being austere, warm without being wooly. 5-1/4 woofers give amazing bass reproduction, even without a subwoofer, which I may decide to add eventually. But since I don't listen as much to rock/pop as I do to jazz and orchestral, these have plenty of oomph with no distortion. And they look great too. I can't wait to go home and put on another disc!
I use the M22Tis as rear surround speakers for my home theatre system. The tonal quality emanating from these small speakers are quite deep, warm and with a larger sound stage that usually reproduce by floor standing speakers. The high is crystal clear with a smooth transparent feel to it without being bright or harsh. Amazingly, these ] little puppies can crank out some very low but rich frequency, again very smooth. I listen to music more than ever before, jazz, standards, classical... And for vocals, they are unbelievably realistic for I can hear smoothness that the voices carry in all octaves. The sound is very enveloping and transparent that filled my sizable listening room, 22' x 20' with 12' high vaulted ceiling. For HT, these little power houses reproduce true to live (special effect) sounds from flying helicopters, explosions, dinosaurs to crickets in the distance. Clarity and realism, the two main ingredients I look for in surround speakers and the M22Tis surpass beyond my expectation. These speaker are the best bang for the bucks, an outstanding value.
Amazing speakers! incredible clarity and transparency of sound. Unbelievable bass for driver size. Buy these speakers!
Truly Amazing. I have never heard so much sound out of such little speakers. These speakers have the power to shake my house. I can't say it enough truly amazing!!!!!
Astonishing improvement over my old Boston A60's, I must admit with my low end electronics I wasn't expecting the M22TI's to sound as good as they do, the improvement in detail and clarity is like night and day. I took a chance with the Axioms after auditioning the usual suspects in the budget bookshelf category (Paradigm Monitor 3, B&W 601, etc...) and couldn't be happier.
I purchased a set of the M3ti and one pair of the M22 i series speakers over the last few months. They are absolutely wonderful. The sound is clear, deep, and precise. Just beautiful music for the price. The reviews i read were on target-the best sound for the price paid. they are better than speakers costing many more dollars. The workmanship and overall quality are truly remarkable. I would give them a 5 point rating on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the best. The bass is very good-but for true bass lovers a Subwoofer would be helpful for the big, deep bangs. These two sets of bookshelf speakers are highly recommended. You can't go wrong. The 30 day try out period in your own home cant be beat either. The staff is wonderful to deal with and respond quickly to your questions, concerns, etc. they are very friendly as well.
My fiance listened to them for a while and then went out of the way to tell her Mother about them. Now THERE is a rave review! These are truly great speakers.
I am more satisfied with these products than any other audio or video products that I have purchased in the last thirty years. Price/performance ratio is totally off the scale! The M22s create a wonderful seamless soundstage that makes the music seem as if the musicians are in my living room. Tremendous clarity and smoothness in the midrange and treble ranges-there is a sense of refinement in the sound that has had me listening to more music in the last two weeks since I got these beauties than I had in the last six months. Bass is also excellent for a speaker of this size. It was snap to integrate them with my two NHT 10 subwoofers.
Excellent speakers, excellent price. I only purchased 2 pair of M22Tis for my home theatre, but with this price/performance it will not take me long to order the surrounds, sub, and a centre. Keep up the great work!
The M22's are perhaps the best speaker Axiom has ever made. So neutral, so open, so detailed, so clear, it never backs down from the pressure of any recording, no matter how complex, loud, or soft. Match it well with good wire and good stands, and you have the best speakers for less than a couple thousand dollars, by far.
I was impressed that a smaller speaker can produce such a wide range of sound. Much to my suprise, these speakers feature plenty of tight bass, and balanced treble- which was pleasing to my ears.I was shocked that a small cabinet can produce such a deep sound, comparable to a pair of tower speakers. My living room was filled with the sound of clear, crisp music. Thanks to your recommendation, I finally found a pair of speakers that are accurate souding and conducive for most types of music, especially Jazz. I guess in the speaker world, Size doesn't matter and big things come in small packages.
I'm one that researches everything and speakers were no different. With all the positive reviews I read, the price, the quality, and the 30 day money back guarantee...It was a no brainer! I took the chance and am now rediscovering my CD collection! Thanks Axiom!
I received my m22ti's today. Bravo, a miracle has occurred in my living room.
I bought a pair of M22tis about a year ago and have enjoyed them off and on in various systems. They are fine speakers and great value. But I've found a magic combo with your speakers and wanted to pass it along. I have the speakers on 24 stands (for some reason, much better sounding than what I'd think would be more appropriate 18 ones), with a modded Pioneer DVD running straight into a Sophia Baby amp--ten whopping watts--and this system makes music like almost no other I've had in my home. I confess to giving a good chunk of the credit to the Sophia amp, which is stunning regardless of cost (it lists for $800), but the Axiom speakers are its match, producing a detailed, big, and, most important, musical sound. I find myself listening to this system more than to my big one, which costs multiples of the smaller one.
I received my Millennia M22ti Bookshelves yesterday. Only 2 days shipping. The speakers are, quite simply, awesome. Thank you very much for your wonderful pre-sales advice, your prompt shipment, and the fantastic speakers,. Your company should be proud of a job well done, and I would heartily recommend you to anyone who needs speakers for their audio system.
My new M22's arrived this afternoon in perfect condition. I hooked them up immediately, coupling them to a Boston Acoustics 100 watt, 10 sub. Notice: You're not getting them back! My wife Andrea and I are re-discovering our music collection and are having a great time doing so. The speakers and the service exceed expectation, an unbelievable value in an era of hype. Now, I'll have to save my penies for an Axiom sub! Cheers,
My wife and I are cutting our 4th CD of old time mountain music and I wanted to share that after about a year, I continue to appreciate how wonderful my M22's sound with this music. Of course the fact that low bass isn't an issue contributes, but I am used to being in the same room with world-class acoustic instruments and musicians and when I hear the same people and instruments through my Axioms, I can't tell the difference! We continue to use our Axioms to master our CDs.
I received my order today, and couldn't wait to get the speakers set up. I have to tell you that I spent several hours sitting and enjoying the amazing sound! Your speakers are everything I expected, and a lot more. I still can't believe what a bargain this system is, and what an improvement it is over my previous speaker system. I just wanted to say thank you. I know where I'm going to direct anyone who's looking for new speakers, and I expect I'll be back again when I'm ready to upgrade again.
I purchased the M22i's and the dipole Q-8. The speakers were from the B-Stock store and I can't seem to find anything wrong with them. They look like new to me. I hooked up the speakers last night and they are beautiful sounding speakers and the build quality is outstanding. I am coming from Paradigm monitor series speakers and the build quality is so high above there I can't believe it. Thank you for a great product and fast shipping to Oregon!
I have been meaning to write to you guys for some time. We had an addition measuring 24 by 14 in the rear of our house which has become our family/media room. We now have a big screen TV and a 6.1 Channel Home Theater setup with your M22s as our front speakers WOW! Your quality bookshelf speakers with my Cambridge Soundworks 12 Sub sounds awesome. Your speakers are so musical on CDs and they add so much realism to and DVD we play! I auditioned a couple of different speaker brands (Boston Acoustics, Paradigm to name a couple) at a Tweeter's and another High End stereo store but I have to say that your M22s on the SS24 stands filled with sand and stone make our system sing. They are extremely musical and so natural / neutral sounding and yes they are getting better with use. My sons and I as well as just about anyone else who hears the system cannot believe the clarity. We crank up the volume on the launch scene from Armageddon where both space shuttles are taking off simultaneously and it is awesome. Thanks for a super quality product and a wonderful finish - I don't know how you did it but the Charcoal Grey M22s almost exactly match the Hitachi big screen TV so besides the great sound it all looks great together. Believe me if I ever decide to change any of the speakers in the system at a later date you guys will definitely get my business. Sincerely another new and loyal fan in Maine, USA
It's risky buying speakers for a guy as particular as my father is, but the M22tis I've got now are absolutely beautiful speakers. I play vinyl on them and the soundstage is tall and wide, and it's like listening to records when I was a boy. My father has a small listening area and so I got the shorter M3tis, but I can't wait for Christmas. He'll love them. You all have been very accomodating. Thank you very much. Sincerely,
I just wanted to let you know how absolutely pleased I am with your speakers. I began shopping for speakers three years ago. As a classically trained musician, I wanted to be able to enjoy the full symphonic experience at home. Additionally, as a classically trained musician, in a musical profession, my budget was limited. I auditioned several speakers and couldn?t find any that were up to the full force of the orchestra when called upon by Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Wagner, Shostakovich, etc. The middle of the orchestra would inevitably become ?muddy?. The only solution I found up to that point was the Gold Reference Speakers from Monitor Audio. After doing a lot of research online, I decided to take a chance on your M22?s. I had planned, if they worked out as reviewers claimed, to use them as surrounds and purchase the M60?s for the fronts. Well, am I glad I tried the M22?s! They are fantastic speakers. Paired with my sub, I couldn?t be happier with how they handle music of all kinds. They have breathed new life into my recordings. Since purchasing the M22?s I have rounded out my home theatre with your VP150 and 3 QS4?s. They are all fantastic speakers! I can?t believe I was considering financing $8,000 worth of audio equipment that wouldn?t have sounded a nickel better than your products. Thank you so much,
I'm loving them already - the sound is great! Thanks for a great product and excellent service.
Thank you so much for following up. That is great customer service, something i am sad to say I don't experience often. I am more then pleased with the new speakers so far. I hope to get one of your center channel speakers soon. The M22s are easily the best speakers I have ever had the pleasure of listening to.
Got the speakers: AWESOME! You can count on my future business, and I'll tell my friends!!
FYI, those little Axiom speakers are amazing. They are replacing my Martin Logan Aerius($2,500/pair) and I'm not sure I don't like the M22 better.
You know I have been a lover of good wine for a long time. My greatest lament is the pomp and pretension centered around describing a great wine. There are terms that must be used if you want to appear knowledgeable. Personally I prefer to say this was an amazing bottle you should try it, the wine will justify itself. If forced to justify my joy I will use those terms but they just seem to lack emotion. I hate clinically deconstructing something that brought such pleasure. I find my self in the same position with the new M22s that I just wired into my system. Speakers this good make me wish I had the full range of audiophile vocabulary to call on just so I could justify to the acoustically high brow why I pity the amount they spent. Words like transparency and clarity of reproduction just seem to lack the joy to describe the sound these speakers bring. I guess if I dont feel like talkking I can just let the speakers speak for themselves. Since I am writing to you I will leave it at stunning and amazing (I do not think an Oh my God would be out of place). I thought it was cliché when I read the reviews; I rediscovered music.... Three hours of sitting and just listening I understood. I look forward to going home and seeing what else I can listen to. You have a loyal customer and a devout advocate. If they paid teachers better I would be ordering a new center channel and surrounds with this letter... p.s. I never write letters for products I buy...
Just to let you know, I was surprised and delighted to find the Purolator delivery man with my M22ti's safely on the doorstep by noon Fri. (less than 24 hrs. in shipment). Excellent service. I connected the speakers this weekend and am, so far, extremely pleased with their outstanding sound. To be this good right out of the box is exceptional, and I can't wait til they break in a little. I short, I am very pleased with my first Axiom experience, and in addition to shortly ordering a second set of speakers myself, would/will recommend your company to anyone. My compliments on an excellent product and marketing/sales program. You appear to be a company that actually does, promise less, but deliver more...unfortunately, all too rare these days. Thanks again.
I am greatly enjoying the m22s - they arrived in good condition. I even took them to my local audio store to A-B them against the B&W 601s - the folks there were very helpful, but the 601s did not have near the clarity and soundstage of the axioms - consider me sold!
Yep, they're here! The FedEx guy was somewhat appalled at having to deliver so many boxes to a residential address at the SAME TIME, but when I helped him lug them into the house he was at least somewhat mollified. I'm still putting everything together, and getting the room ready for them (boring holes through walls and floors, running MILES of cable, and generally thrashing around). I can't WAIT to fire everything up and see how it sounds! Physically, the speakers and stands are flat-out beautiful! I particularly appreciate being able to run speaker cables through the stands themselves: it removes SO much clutter, and makes everything so much neater--and safer for a klutz like me! My 2 cats and 9 dogs will also appreciate this amenity. I'll let you know when everything's up and running! Have I told you that I REALLY appreciate your 'business model and the very human interface with Axiom? If the speakers are even half as good as this experience has been (and they'll be better than that!), you folks are real winners! Best,
it's tuesday and I got my speakers today! I was told probably wednesday so they are a day early, what a great suprise. i hooked them up and they are great and look beautiful. I have heard that they need some kind of breakin period so I am expecting even better things to come. I really am impressed with the effiency of your company and support, if only the rest of the world was as diligent. i will be recommending you to any and every one within earshot...and maybe even farther...
WOW,....WOW WOW WOW!!! Thank you all so much. The M22's and the VP100 are beautiful. They sound absolutely brilliant. Up to know I have had bose, and now I realize how much of the midrange and high frequencies that I have been missing. They look fantastic, I must say that your site could really use some larger pictures the current ones just don't really show them off. Please thank Jean, he was very courteous and helpful. Thanks,
I just had to let you know that I am completely bowled over by the M22s. They are amazing. All the reviews I read about soundstage, clarity etc are completely true. Even when you consider that I paid an extra $ 200. shipping, vat, and duty they are well worth it. I also realise how badly recorded some of my CDs are. That Ian is a sound man, tell him thanks, Slan,
Went through 20 CD's last night. Great sound. Thanks
I've only had a chance to listen to them for about 15 minutes last night at 11:30 pm. But they sound terrific!
I must confess the M22ti's put my Infinity home theatre floor standing speakers to shame! I'm still working on getting the EP125 subwoofer set up at the right levels, but after getting that hooked up, I listened to a CD that has exceptional recording quality - it's the artist who goes by the name of Seal, and his latest CD had a few tracks that are EXCELLENT for putting speakers through the paces.
Thank you for the follow-up e-mail. I have just installed my new Axiom speakers and they sound fabulous. Keep up the good work.
It's beautiful! Thank you!
I replaced a 22-year-old pair of Pioneer speakers that were rotting away - pieces of the material around the woofer were falling off. Your M22ti speakers are an unbelievable improvement in sound quality and one fourth the size. I am in my mid 40s and have not purchased stereo speakers for many years as family needs always seem to take prioirty. I was a little hesitant to purchase speakers over the Internet without hearing them, but glad I did. With so many reviews and customer viewpoints available on various web sites, the quality of speakers I received was exactly what I was expecting. Congratulations on your efforts to successfully market on the web! Thanks for a great purchasing experience.
Just a note to thank you and all the great people who work for Axiom. I am very happy with my new speakers and I am sure I will be purchasing more Axiom speakers in the future as I upgrade to a home theatre system. I was a little leery of purchasing speakers on-line but the great independent reviews I read and your helpful on-line support won me over.
I am *definitely* enjoying the new axiom speakers! On a side note, I went to a hifi shop and auditioned the b&w nautilus 805 speakers (with a primaire preamp, classe power amp). The b&ws sounded flat, and lacked warmth and lowend. The soundstage was all lined up in a 2d plane, and was too laid back for enjoyment. Technically, it sounded great in the mid/high range, but for $2000, I am incredibly glad I bought the axioms for a fifth of the price. Sounds better, anyway. :) have a great day - I will be purchasing more things throughout the course of my life. Looking forward to the next purchase! The ep125 is coming next. :)
I received my speakers andhooked them up. Wow!, what a sound. I am very happy with my purchase.
They are AWSOME just like you guys!! You got them shipped out Wed. afternoon and I was rocking with my best girl Friday night! (her response was worth twice the price of the speakers) One of the amazing things about the incredible sound is that the signal they are getting is coming from the absolute cheapest amp and CD player that Best Buy had four years ago (my previous $3,000+ system went in the divorce) and I've been existing with a very poor substitute for silence since. . . BUT NOT ANY MORE! Thank You!
Thanks very much for the efficient service and incredibly fast delivery I hooked up the speakers last night and played Beethoven's triple concerto. The speakers played amazingly well in the middle and higher range. My wife & cello playing teenager were astonished. I intend to play then hard for a while, but if they do half as well with R&B and rock, as they do with classical, you'll have a family of delighted customers.
Just a quick note to you folks to let you know how impressed I am with these M22ti's after giving a solid test drive for a month --- fantastic sound from such a relatively small speaker (and, even better, at a price that I consider to be very reasonable).
I did receive the M22's last Friday and they sound Awesome! My plan was to try them out and then order the rest if I liked them. Well, I placed my order for a VP150 and 4 of the QS8's yesterday! I was cautiously optomistic due to the rave reviews and also some of the negative comments I had read. Well, I was blown away by the quality! The people who were negative have either never heard these before or they have really bad rooms/equipment/setups/ears or something because these are great. They deserve all of the positive professional and user reviews they have received. I'll be happy with these as long as they last. Thank you. PS. I've been in this hobby for over 10 years and have owned Atlantic Technology, Energy and Cambridge Soundworks and the Axioms are easily the best I've owned. Count me as a fan!
I love 'em! It's amazing what a difference these are from my old 70s RCAs. THANK YOU!
I recently ordered a pair of M22tis and could not be more pleased. They look elegant, are well constructed, and, oh yeah, they sound incredible. It made me fall in love with 2-channel audio all over again. I recently ordered a VP 150 and am eagerly awaiting its arrival, and will soon continue to order until I've redone my bedroom theater with a full 7.1 of Axiom speakers. Keep up the great work! You have won yourselves a long time fan and customer.
Thanks for the follow-up note! I had to wait for my receiver to arrive, but I have the system set-up since Tuesday. I must say very impressive so far! I'm systematically going through my music collection and these speakers definitely add a new dimension :) I listened to Paradigm and B&W bookshelf speakers in a store before I bought the Axiom's and the Axiom's sound just as good or better to me! Thanks,
My speakers arrived in good condition and I think they'll meet our requirements nicely. I matched them up with a small Martin Logan subwoofer - the combination sounds great together. We look forward to enjoying our system for years to come.Regards,
Well, I'm now playing amazing iPod sound on a pair of M22s and the EP 350 that fills our new master bedroom with all our favorites, whenever we want them (lucky I ripped all those CDs at best compression settings to get the most out of these beasts). I can play them wirelessly, from any room in our new apartment, from any computer, thanks to the Apple wireless setup. I sure wish Yamaha made it as easy as you guys do. I replaced that high-end Yamaha (great in its day and still fine so we pressed it into service in the bedroom) with the new Pioneer, for our home theatre, still hooked up to your monster Axiom surround system. Guess what? Your top-of-the-line system (can't remember all the model numbers) sounds EVEN BETTER in our apartment! I have no idea why because the old home theater had "theoretically perfect acoustics" than the way our apartment lays out. It's kind of spooky -- I think the speakers simply refuse to emit anything that mindblowing sound. From the subtlest tinkles to explosions that shake the entire downtown apartment building we've just moved into), the old beast continues to astound me. The new set of speakers are truly incredible and fit and look wonderful. And.... it took me longer to figure out how to reconfigure the Yamaha than it did to take everything out of the boxes, do the wiring and get it all going. With Axiom pouring out of our office, too (the top of our 3 floors downtown), I guess you could say, in my best "Ahnold" impression possible... "I've been Awhxiomated." :-) Thanks a million,
The midrange is superb and treble is always getting better. The soundstage and the image is excellent for a speaker in this price range. Better than 1500$ floorstanding I've auditioned. The bass is not low because it's a bookshelf. But it's tight and precise.
My M22's and EP350 combination are perfect for my needs. They fill my 4200 cu.ft room with crystal clear music. They are built with precision and I would guess a lot of care by the employees.I could tell from the moment I opened the boxes that this is a quality product.I would highly recommend Axiom to anyone looking for loudspeakers. e Nuance speakers I bought and tried out(and returned) don't even come close to these. I will buy the surrounds and center from Axiom soon.
If you are looking for great sound then buy these Axiom M22-V2 speakers, or better yet buy the whole set. I love my new speakers. I have B&W front speakers and a JBL 12" Subwoofer. These M22 V2's have sold me on the Axiom product, as soon as I can save the money I plan on buying the full set. I can't wait!! P.S They are very well built and look great!!
Afternoon, just wanted to give you guys a follow-up on the MTi22's. They are undoubtedly one of the best deals for the money. They're broken in, and the system never tires!! I can't thank you guys enough for offering such a sweet spot of quality. People are blown away by the clarity. Will recommend these speakers to everyone I know interested in upgrading, you'll have to pry these things from my dead cold hands, Thanks for great work,
The Speakers are Great. Thanks for the quick service. I did Audio for CBS TV for 35 years an I have to say your speakers are a great value. Thanks
Completly blown away by the sound these speakers make - The Best Sound for the money!
I read the reviews, saw the awards, and liked the style but had never heard them. I thought I would give it a shot, but had not had a chance to put in my order. My wife bought the M22 bookshelf speakers for the heck of it (without me knowing), knowing I have wanted a new set of speakers. I dragged my wife along to listen to many options over the last couple of years, and I must say the M22 are the best bookshelf speakers we have heard! The first night I had them I did an A/B test with my Polks using Frank Sinatra's Christmas cd and I think it was the first time my wife commented on a speaker's performance. Thank you, Axiom, for making such a wonderful speaker at an outstanding price. They produce a wonderful, crisp, clear sound listening to metal, Sinatra, classical or movies. Keep up the good work, and thanks to my loving and gorgeous wife.
Before i bought the m3s i owned a pair of $2400 jm labs .i was very happy with them ,but i'm an audiophile, and we are never happy. i had read so many rave reviews of your speakers that i just had to see what they sounded like. as soon as i heard the m3s i asked to upgrade to the m22s and gave my jm labs away. i since have bought the finest amp i could find to do the m22s justice. i'm now a 55 year old audiophile and i really feel i've found the finest audio i've ever heard. and what pleases me so much is everybody i have met at axiom has been so nice to me. i feel really proud to be part of the axiom family.
The service has been top notch, the easy buying experience, web site navigation is excellent and the product...well, I have sat long hours in my living room with a beatific smile since receiving the M22's. Mahler's 5th Symphony, Stravinsky's Firebird Suite, Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra and Miles Davis' Kind of Blue never sounded better !
Outstanding Quality !! I've had the best Customer Service Experience with Axiom ,, all in all and excellent company and product
I have own the M22 speakers for some time now and I am extremely happy with them. For the amount of money I paid for, these speakers cannot be beat. The quality of the sound is crisp and clear, unlike many speakers, there is no over tuned high and low range that muffled the sound. Playing music and sing Karaoke with the M22 (and Sub) is just great. Together with my other Axiom speakers (Center, Surround and Sub; purchase around 1999; discontinued), I also enjoy great movies and surround music. I gave it 5 out of 5 for the quality of the speakers at this low price range.
These speakers are very versatile and an incredible value. The sound is crisp and clear with plenty of volume for a modest size room. They are excellent for main speakers in a home theater system where space is at a premium. Add a subwoofer and they will amaze you for almost any kind of music. You can't go wrong with the M22s. Even if you eventually upgrade, you'll find you just can't part with them.
These unassuming speakers are the quintessence of raw sound. Simply close your eyes and these speakers are your ticket to a concert hall, a football stadium, or the middle of a movie. Sound so clear and crisp you will forget your are in a room and not live at the event. The best part, you will make your friends jealous by spending half as much and receiving twice the clarity than their speakers.
I couldn't be more pleased. The size and maple color allow them to blend in nicely on the bookshelves surrounding our big screen in the family room. The sound provides everything I would have hoped for. Even before I finally installed a subwoofer, I was more than happy that these speakers did a fine job at replacing the floor standing Celestions that disappeared with my bachelorhood.
I've had the M22v2 speakers in my basement home theatre for about a year now along with 4 QS4's and a VP 100. It never fails to amaze me how superb these speakers sound. Many, many nights I have spent in the theatre just listening to my albums and cd's with the 112" screen black, receiver set to pure direct,...the sound is just that good! Keep up the great work Axiom. Lloyd Metcalf, Oshawa On
Even my friend who is an acoustical engineer admires the sound to price ratio that the M22s possess. The M22s produce such warm tones and surprising bass with no sub. Couldn't be happier.
About as much fun as you can have in less than 2 feet... They may be small but you'll want to push some real power at these bad boys. Absolutely perfect for someone wanting more from a smaller package. Score some points with your spouse / significant other, who can't abide your mondo towers, pick up a pair of these. Pair them with one of Axioms digital subs and badda bing badda booom- OH hell yeah!
My inlaws asked me to put a two channel system together that would be good for a varitey of music types. With a limited budget I wanted to get the best speakers they could afford. I came across Axiom in an online review and boy am I glad I did. These speakers are absolutely stunning. The build quality is exceptional, but more importantly the sound is amazing. I wanted to keep them for myself and give my floorstanders to them, they were that good. Keep up the great work Axiom as you have a new devoted customer.
If you want a big sounding speaker setup with clean highs and mids and a tight bass response, paring the M22's with a subwoofer will give you the full-range experience of tower speakers. Excellent pair of speakers. I use them in my computer audio listening setup.
Excellent sound from the M22. Very pleased with the performance of this speaker. I use them with a 10 inch sub, and the bass is much improved by adding a sub.
Great quality, inside and out. I'm using these in a HT setting, hung horixontally from the ceiling, either side of the screen, In conjuction with an HSU sub, the sound is awsome! Axiom customer service is 5 stars too. one of the drivers had a small dent in the cone (but still sounded fine), Axiom sent out a new driver immediately, "keep the damaged one".
Simply incredible. Amazing sound at an unbelievable price. Someday I will upgrade to M80s, but in my current small living room these are more than enough; I never feel like I want or need more.
Received the M22s via Fedex this morning. Don't even have them on speaker stands yet. They sound amazing transparent. Had a client give me one of their latest cds, very complex jazz and blues arrangements. These speakers handle everything without getting muddy. The midrange really shines. Listened to some George Winston, and could literally hear how hard he hit each key of his piano. My biggest challenge now is to find a resting place for these Boston Acoustics. I'm definitely looking to get the EP350 subwoofer. I can tell that I'll have quite a stereo system soon.
I just wanted to let you know that I'm thoroughly enjoying my M22 v2 speakers. I have them in my bedroom & drive them with an Adcom GFA 535 II power amp & the Adcom GFA 555 II preamp. I'm very impressed how these little speakers perform as if they were big speakers. Nice clean, crisp, detailed highs & mids. Good bass response for a small driver as well.
Excellent speakers. I considered the M50s and I opted for the M22s. I have them set up on (non-Axiom) stands and they are tight and sweet. I use them more often than not for TV / Home Theatre audio (along with an EP125 sub and a VP100 center) and I'm very pleased. Axiom leads in value and customer service. Buy Canadian / North American.
Glad I took a chance on a unknown speaker company from up north. Sound and look great mounted on the wall with the swivel bracket
I just love them. Big enough for "big sound" but small enough for versatile placement options. I get compliments on the sound, but people would really be impressed if they knew what I paid for them. Or didn't pay, depending on how you look at it. My only negative is the aesthetics--the design is just a little outdated. It's not ugly, but it's not beautiful either. That's hard to complain about when you've got a SACD track playing, though.
smooth and crisp - not as full as the floor standers - but I couldn't afford the space in my living room for those. The M22s are pretty nice.
The moment I hooked my M22s up to my stereo I knew, for the first time, what the words "audio bliss" really meant.
I love these speakers. They hit a new high yesterday when I accidentally left my receiver up a lot higher than I normally did. When that voice came in I couldn't believe how clear and perfect it was, still after a few months! It never hurts or gets tiring, just clean beautiful sound whether with movies or with music, paired with my subwoofer
