I received my new set of speakers on Wednesday. As you may remember from
our conversation, I got the M80s, QS8s and VP150. I was certainly hoping
that upgrading my speakers with Axiom's full line would make a big
difference in my audio system and my hopes have been far exceeded.
In general, I'm so impressed with the uniformity of the total sound field.
The sound is natural. The BIGGEST impression that they've made upon me is
their clarity and detail. Listening to the "Diane Schurr and the Count
Basie Orchestra" CD, you can, for instance, hear the
'pluck' of the bass player's finger across the string. The bass
response of the system as a whole is never 'gimmicky'. While watching a
film, when there's action, explosions, etc., it makes your heart race. At
the same time you can be listening to a vocal ensemble like Chanticleer and
when the bass section makes an entrance, the bass response is gentle,
defined and natural. Listening to SACD material, all I can say is WOW!!!

The imaging of these speakers is like nothing I've ever heard.
Listening to 2 channel material, I STILL get up check to see that the sound
is NOT coming out of the center channel speaker. The imaging is so perfect
and as you said during our conversation the evening before I placed my
order, the off axis ability of these speakers is amazing. I can even be in
the other room and get a sense of the spatial quality of the sound. As the
reviews often mention, I also get a sense that the speakers disappear. The
QS8s are amazing, also. I've watched a number of things where I felt the
effect from the screen pass over me and out the back of the room. The VP150
is too large to be accommodated on the shelves beneath my plasma but that's
ok. I've got it on a stand in front of the TV. It sounds TERRIFIC and I'm
much more interested in function that form.

I'm rediscovering my music collection, seriously. I'm hearing things that I
didn't know existed on certain recordings. I must say, with some of the
operatic recordings I have, the voices seem a bit too forward. As I spend
time listening, I'm thinking that this is a 'fault' of the recording
technician for those particular recordings as I have other operatic
recordings that are spectacular. It's my feeling that these speakers are
"unforgiving". With a less than very good recording, you get less than very
good sound but on the other side, when it's terrific, what this system does
is jaw dropping. I can't imaging it getting much better.

Once again, my hat is off to Axiom and to all of you who provide such great
great service. I appreciate all the time you've spent of the phone
answering my questions. Again, Axiom's service is unequalled.
My audio system is now mostly Axiom (a1400, M80, QS8, VP150 and last but not
least, EP-600) and I couldn't be happier. I've found the reviews and your
own write ups and conversations with you to be right on the money. Rest
assured that I've been spreading the good news about Axiom.

My wife and I just finished watching the third Lord of the Rings.

The 7.2 set up was mindblowing!

The subwoofer shook the building. Local nightclubs were calling, asking us to turn it down, they couldn't hear their music! ;-)

And the extra two rear surrounds gave the total surround I was hoping for.

The guys who installed the new equipment were blown away with it, and they're hard to impress. All they do is install equipment, and they couldn't believe the sound.

Just wanted to thank you for taking time to answer my questions about the DVD player, and to thank Axiom for every part of my experience, from the initial conversation with the sales people, to the shipping. These are as beautiful as they looked on the internet. I am completely happy with the Epic 80's and everyone is impressed with the QS8 v2's. From all the reviews I expected them to handle high levels, but I am just amazed at the sensitivity and how clear the Epic 80's sound at very low volumes.

Also, the web site should get an award as the best designed site on the web. http://www.axiomaudio.com is just presented beautifully with just the right amount of information and help I needed to purchase speakers for my home theater system. I looked for weeks on the Internet and Axiom's site was, hands down, the best in every regard. I read many of the articles, used the wizard, and explored the message board in order to make an informed decision (not to mention numerous calls to the people at Axiom).

I purchased the Epic80-500 7.1 system and I must say this setup beats ANY comparible system I tested in the stores by a BIG margin. They're a great set of speakers and in a "bang for the buck" test beat anything I could have bought locally at twice the price. You folks have done a great job.

It also amazes me that it took only 4 days to get Axiom speakers from half way around the world but every other component has taken from between 3 and 14 weeks to get from the other side of Australia!

Individually:
- The VP150 produces crisp clear dialog and blends nicely with the M80's.
- While the QS8's had to be ceiling mounted due to restrictions in the room they still manage to blend in very well and have a great frequency response. The envelopment of sound with decent DTS ES Discrete 6.1 soundtracks (e.g. Lord of the Rings) works really well and managed to almost sonically disappear despite the placement restrictions. I've watched movies where I've had to pause it several times as I swore that the tap was dripping in another room when it was actually on the soundtrack.
- The M80's are brilliant from everything from music to movies and has a stunning response. There's nothing more I can say that Audioholics hasn't already.
- The EP500 is far and away the "star performer" of the system. The amount of clean, tight LFE that can be pumped from this baby is nothing short of incredible. The couch shakes, the windows rattle, the cat flees in terror and it's only at 14 volume! It's both tight and musical which is something that's really hard to find. In terms of positioning the EP500, it's interesting that while frequencies under 80Hz can't be localised, the shock wave can :)

The speakers are awesome! I wasn't really worried they wouldn't be up to my listening standards (I did lots of internet research before I bought), but on the other hand, I know how different speakers can sound "different".

Well, after getting everything hooked up to my new Sunfire Ultimate Receiver, I turned it on, and I was very happy. Very smooth sounding, not harsh, and my investment in the Epicenter 600 was money well spent (I'm a bass nut).

I've had some time to hook everything up and play with speaker placement. I am most impressed with the system I ordered from you. I read on the forums where some thought that the M80's were a bit too bright, however I don't have a problem. After shopping around a bit and listening to a variety of setups, I was amazed at how dull and lifeless the majority of speakers sounded until I got into the upper end (which had a handsome price tag to go with the presence the speakers could produce). I wound up getting my entire 7.1 speaker system (with an upgrade to the EP500) for less than what I would have spent for a pair of mains. Not only does this sytem rock, it does it with no effort. After watching "Ray", this system literally left me holding the remote wondering who I'm going to invite over next. It's inspiring.

I wanted to add a speaker placement tip which proved to me to be most helpful. Since there are so many unique parameters to every installation, I wanted a way to play with my surround speakers to see what worked best before punching holes in the wall. I (temporarily) mounted my four surrounds on adjustable light stands which are available at any hardware store (Loews, Home Depot, Ace hardware, etc). They're very steady with a tripod base and easy to move around. Also, they allow for an infinite height adjustment anywhere from 3' to over 6'). I ordered the wall mount brackets but after finding my sweet spots, I decided to mount my surrounds on stands at about 5.5' instead.

System is definately kicking a**, there's plenty of room filling bass when subwoofer crossover is set at max. I highly recommend the movie Pearl Harbor when testing Hi-Fi during the Japanese invasion scene. Kill Bill 1 and 2, 2Fast and 2Furios, Star Wars 4and 5, All of the Lord of the Rings, and The Last Samurai are excellent choices as welll.

Wow! I cannot believe how great they sound. I hear things I did not know
existed in the music (I started with Diana Krall/Stepping Out, then Joni Mitchell/Clouds, then Miles Davis/Sketches From Spain, then Z.Z. Top /Greatest Hits--all on cd. Amazing. LOUD and clear. You don't realize how loud it is until you go to the other side of the house--and its still clear.

This morning, I played an old album, David LaFlamme/White Bird, and again I hear things I've never heard in the music. Then I played a Stanley Jordan cd I have. I did not want to have to go to work today!

I plan to sneak home at lunch and see how the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Metallica play on the new system. I suspect I will not be disappointed.

I can't wait to get the speakers going and watch some dvds.

I heard a friend's m22s and they were amazing. I figured I would go for the epic 80 minus the subwoofer (I just built one not too long ago!) When I cranked up the center channel, I was amazed...the imaging was superb and the power and clarity were amazing. Cranked up the Qs8s and was amazed at the presence they gave to my track. I dont have them mounted properly yet, but that is not too far behind. I connected the M80s and was amazed at the sound and especially the bass, large bass was not necessary for me, I built a 1000watt 15" subwoofer in a huge box not too long ago. Overall, an awesome deal for awesome speakers...Thanks Axiom!

ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!!!! After I got it calibrated to the best of my ability. I began to watch some scenes. I am totally amazed with how much of the movie soundtracks I was missing. Little background effects and all sorts of other parts came through clearly. I love it. I now OWN a movie theater. It is awesome. Everyone was right. I did have a smile ear to ear after I got everything put together correctly. The Ep 500 vibrates the windows and I don't even have it hardly turned on!! When I was using the spl meter to put everything together I kept turning it down, turning it down, then down again. I was up till 2 in the morning just watching scenes of movies. I absolutely love Finding Nemo when Darla taps the glass of the aquarium. It litterally vibrated the windows in the room. Don't even get me started on the Lord of the Rings. Sorry for the rambling, but in short I am very proud of my purchase. My girlfriend even said they were good looking enough to be in a living room. Grills on of course. I love the finish, it looks like wood to me, and I feel right in the middle of the action. I could not have asked for better results. I have a friend who is a movie connoisseur and film fanatic who told me that I was all set up with the finest surround envelope he has ever heard in any theater. . .

I tried Gladiator in DTS-ES: the sound with all the drivers being the same was awesome, and surrounds, as expected were fantastic. I had sound everywhere - all over the left and right walls, in the ceiling - WOW!

Next I tried Master and Commander with DTS 5.1 (I used DTS-ES setting). I thought I was inside the ship there were sounds everywhere!

I also tried Star Trek IV - the Voyage Home the restaurant scene. I heard people talking and the clinking of dishes and silverware all around me.

Then, the final treat. . . The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring using DTS-ES: The sound and surround field (envelope) were absolutely fantastic. I have never heard the surrounds place me in the middle of a battle or a scene with people and sounds all around including the floor and ceiling!

I want to congratulate you for an outstanind product line.

With all the bad experiences one can have with purchases, I felt it both refreshing and necessary to tell you how pleased I am with my recent purchase of an Axiom speaker system. I bought the Epic 60/350 (Boston cherry). The system arrived promptly as promised. The packaging makes it obvious that Axiom cares about the customer receiving the goods in perfect condition. The finish of the speakers is beautiful and the build quality outstanding. And the sound - incredible. My new Axiom Epic 60 system in high gloss white arrived yesterday and I've been busy installing them. I still have a way to go with hooking them up to a new receiver, but I wanted to take a moment to send a big thank you to the whole Axiom team for the exemplary job you all did. Not only did the speakers arrive before the Holidays, but the finish quality of the enclosures and the high gloss is a testament to the pride you all show in your workmanship and your product.

All six enclosures arrived without any damage. There were a few places in the external packing boxes where something had pierced the boxes during the journey, however your double boxing system ensured nothing damaged the internal package materials. So if you were hoping to get these returned, you'll be disappointed: we are keeping them. They are now a proud addition to our living room.

We have had an opportunity to listen to the speakers and, even with the receiver's default settings, it brought a smile to my wife's face. My eight year old son loves the bass and he's looking forward to watching all our DVDs again. I am equally impressed, however any final review would have to wait until a proper setup could do the speakers justice. I am certainly no audio reviewer, but unless you have objections I would like to comment on an online forum about the issues I am competent in: namely the professionalism of the entire ordering and shipping process. Certainly I will have something to say about the audio quality as well. It's hard to convince German's to buy anything that's not German, but there are other Europeans in similar situations to mine who would be interested to hear how high the finish quality is and how effortless the whole delivery process went.

So again, a big thank you for the effort you exerted in ensuring that we received the system in time for the Holidays. It's made the whole family very happy indeed. I assume this is rush period for you but I hope you all find time to enjoy the Holidays. You deserve it!

My new Mansfield Beech Axioms arrived Friday:
2 M60ti's, EP350 Sub, VP150 Cent., 2 Qs8's(2 more on the way)powered by my new Denon AVR2805, I can't imagine a better combination.

First of all I want to THANK Axiom, especially Amie, Joe, and Brent, for all of your time and expert advice. In addition, all of you on this forum that have provided valuable feedback, diserve a pat on the back! I would offer you a beer if you were here.

The Mansfield Beech w/Black grills is absolutely beautiful and you can tell these speakers are manufactured to the highest quality. I ordered mine from the factory outlet, and have looked over these inch by inch and can't find any cosmetic flaws. They look so rich and expensive.

Who says grown men can't cry? I tell you what, there have been a few moments where my eyes got a little glassy, while listening to various music artists on these gems. I am in total AMAZEMENT as to the accuracy, sound, detail, reproduction, quality, etc..... of these speakers. I grew up around music as my dad was a professional singer, and I have been involved in piano, trumpet, and singing most of my life. When I close my eyes, there are times you would swear you are right there in the recording studio with the artists. These speakers ARE that good. This is probably the best find I have ever come across, second to my wife! Ok, she was standing right next to me, so I had to say that...

I also want to put in a good word for the Denon 2805, I went round and round on what receiver to get, and I am sure I would have been happy with any of my choices. I think this combination is a match made in Heaven. I just can't get the smile off of my face everytime I listen to something differant. My wife is a big Josh Groban fan, I could not believe how unbelievable the sound was coming out of these speakers, it was like he was right there in the room giving us a private concert...

I auditioned a lot of speakers; Axioms, NHT, B&W, Klipsch, and Polk, in combination with Denon, Yamaha, and Elite. I am One Hundred Percent convinced that I made the right choices.

Anyone debating or hesitant on ordering these speakers, will not be let down. When you combine quality that is second to none, the best customer service in the business, and support from Axiom owners on this message board, there should be no doubt in your mind on what brand of speakers to order....AXIOM

I would like to thank you and Axiom for your great service and fine product. Packaging, speed of shipping, fit and finish of the product are great as I expected. At the present time, I do not have my final set-up in place (delay in tv, component stand), but I have used your speakers with a mediocre, at best, receiver that sounds 100% better than it did with the Bose Acoustimas I used to own. My new Pioneer vsx 1015tx should rock with the axioms. I have paired them to an HSU VTF2 MK II sub, and it blends fantastically with the M60 towers and VP150 Center. The QS8 surrounds are just what I expected in my difficult room for placement, and provide great immersion used on the Axiom stands made for them.

I wanted to drop you a note to let you know that I received my speakers last Wednesday (12/3). I did get the front 4 speakers hooked up that night. What a difference those made. Ran out of time and had to wait until the weekend (Saturday) to finish hooking up the other 4 surround speakers.

Needless to say, these are some of the BEST speakers I have ever heard. When we got them hooked up we plugged in the movie Pearl Harbor and went straight to the bombing scenes. WOW. You heard planes and bullets flying through the room. Made you feel like you were actually there. These speakers are one hell of a set. I am not disappointed at all.

First let me say that it has surpassed anything I could have hoped for. The M60/VP150/ and QS8's play loud, and clean and are by far the best I have heard in just about any price range. Folks were "right on" regarding Axiom's tremendous customer service.

Currently, I have only my M60s hooked up (to a Denon 3805) ... but should set-up and calibrate the center and surrounds this weekend.
Thusfar (and only with 2-channel "stereo" listening) the Axiom product has far exceeded even my most ambitious expectations. I have never heard music as pure. I am absolutely thrilled at the sound quality of the Denon/Axiom pairing. It has the perfect tonal qualities for my listening preferences ... a slightly bright/forward presentation with extremely crisp, detailed, full, and clean sound. I could not be more happy. I can only imagine what it will sound like once the other speakers are fully integrated.

I continue to sing Axioms praises on web sites like Audioholics, Ecoustics, etc. ... so that surge in revenues (at least I'd like to think so ... smile) is due in part to me!

The entire Axiom system i purchased is very nicely integrated. The M60s in front provide a stunningly clear sound although sometimes a touch bright (source and recording quality dependant). The mid range sounds are beautifully and smoothly rendered. The low end sound remains clean with superb tight bass. The QS8 surrounds and VP150 add a stellar component to the imaging of the system. The quadpolar design of the QS8s makes setting up the surround listening area an absolute ease.

The EP350 sub puts out plenty of low end vibration for our purposes and is easily tweakable to add bass boost at the preferred levels for either music or home theatre applications.

Overall the aesthetics of the speakers is second only to real, polished wood and the Factory Outlet deals are truly and honestly a superb bargain.

The combination of the Axiom speakers with a new Yamaha HTR 6190 receiver
is amazing compared to the Polk Audio Speakers I had with a Sony STRDE985
receiver.

I received the speakers first and I only had 6.1 surround with the Sony.
The one Surround Back was weak. Now that I have the Yamaha hooked up the
system has even distribution and excellent clarity through seven speakers.
I cannot believe I lived with what I had for so long. Now I have true
surround sound home theatre. Having the extra surround backs is definitely
not too many speakers.

I look forward to replacing the flat black with the piano finish walnut.

I just installed my Axiom 7.1 on wall system. I must say that I am incredibly surprised at the level of performance I am getting! My wife was not real excited about the huge floor standing speakers I was planning on buying. She was concerned about the look of the room. Being the compromising person that I am I decided to get the W150 center channel, the W22 front speakers and 4 QS4's as the surround and the EP175 subwoofer. I am running a Denon 3806 receiver and the sound is unbelievable. It took some time to get the channel levels just right....if you know Denon you know what I mean. Maybe I should have considered the Sherwood Newcastle….. However the Axiom speakers are crystal clear with excellent base which surprised me coming from an on wall system. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to anyone out there looking for incredible sound with a nice look. I also must say that I was prepared to spend quite a bit more on floor standing speakers. I am happy to tell you that I saved a great deal of money and I don't feel like I gave up anything in regards to performance.....

After using Bose 901's (several iterations) for the past three decades I decided I wanted a subwoofer. After several emails from several different manufacturers I found out that I would have to upgrade my old 4 channel AV. I also wanted a center channel. After much thought and many more emails, I decided to do away with the 901's and get a completely new system. Now, with this new system in mind I again went through the email scene with several internet companies and many, many review searches. I decided on Axioms. I did this with no auditions. In my area there are only a few audio stores. After listening to their choices and again reading reviews for those systems I decided to try Axiom. I am most happy with my selection. I have hardwood floors and was afraid of some of the posts/reviews talking about 'brutally honest' or 'overly bright' tendencies of these speakers. I can tell you right now this is absolutely not true. These speakers allow you to hear things such as: sizzle of cymbals, compression of tom-toms, vibrato of guitar licks, hand clapping (as in individual claps versus a sound of the correct frequency) and many more revelations. There is no overly bright sound to these speakers at all. There is just great, articulate sound. Your can watch music DVD's and pick out instruments. The sound is incredible. Sorry for the long rant, but I wanted to give an honest appraisal of these speakers.

If you're looking for high audio performance look no more!!!

The M22 V2 front are for those who are looking for a crystal sound with great mid range, they sound more alike B&W 602 S3, Paradigm Monitor 5. You get Great sound for a reasonable price not as sky rocket as B&W or Paradigm speakers yet none worst in terms of sound quality.

VP150 V2 is a great center it sounds much alike B&W LCR600 S3, moreover good for some big rooms crystal clear on highs good dynamics with Floor standing speakers.

QS8 V2 are great speakers sounds good on highs clear and sharp, great surround dynamics. i can't really compare it to some surround speakers i've heard too.
most important, don't think that those surround won't drive a big room easily because they definitely would!

I'm more than happy with my speakers. I was watching the movie "Unleashed" the other day (with Jet Li - where he has that collar...) I was amazed during one of the fight scenes by the sounds of the weapons. Each sounded just like it looked - heavy and dense, long and resonant, wood, or metal, etc. Oh and the fight scene was awesome. I'm very pleased with the quality of the speakers.

It's taken me a long time to get to installing a "pseudo" home theatre set-up. I'm still drilling holes in my walls, stringing miles of cable, and rearranging furniture (and making a proper mess whilst I'm at it!), but I have no question it will be well worth all the thrashing around and making of dust and chunks of drywall when everything calms down again! My 8 dogs and 2 cats are appropriately bemused and astonished by the carryings-on. My two human kids (like me) can't wait.

I'll report back once all is in place and the system "broken in."

BTW, I'm using a B&K AVR 507 receiver, Magnepan MG1.6 front speakers, a Martin-Logan center, a B&O turntable, a Denon 2900 DVD/CD player, a Pioneer Elite 53" rear projection HDTV, and a few other goodies, so, for me, this is a big deal! Thanks again!!!

I couldn't stand it, so I worked from home Friday afternoon so I could set them up ASAP. They sound great! I enjoyed fantastic music all weekend. I am very impressed with the rich sound of the M22s as well as the tight base of the EP175. And the center channel just puts the TV dialog right in front of me. Still need to get my surrounds mounted and tune it all up with an SPL meter, but so far I have been very pleased.

I have to tell you that, in addition to the value, what really sold me on Axiom was the customer service and the message boards. Being new to the high quality speaker game, I have learned so much from the boards, and you and everyone else who answered my questions on the phone were awesome. I hope you don't ever change that business model.

The speakers arrived Wednesday and I hooked them up right away, just sitting on the floor. The difference to my old ones is as night and day!
I have now bought myself some decent speaker wire and properly positioned the speakers where I want them. The sound is truly wonderful. I might be back for some little stands because I think the speakers may be a shade low, just one foot off the floor on a shelf.
I'll certainly be back for surround speakers before long and will be using your excellent message board. I have also started telling workmates how good the speakers are.

I just wanted to write and say thank you to all the folks at Axiom for (1) such a great product and (2) the excellent service I received. I truly wish I could write more letters like this to people that I have purchased products from.

I was in the market for a "budget" system to help put the finishing touches on a basement remodeling project I just completed. I was really after something that would be a good surround system for watching movies (I was also looking for a plasma screen TV)..but it also had to be able to handle music listening with ease. I listened to some Bose, Boston Acoustics, and Mirage systems prior to purchasing Axiom. Prior to that I had Polk Audio speakers.

I did not even know of Axiom until very recently..I found your company referenced time and time again on some "audiophile" type web sites I was using as basis for my research in trying to get a nice HT setup.

I went and listened to some speakers in some local stores in my area (Southern New Jersey)..and it became pretty evident that I was going to be in the range of $3000 plus for something that really sounded nice.

After I stumbled on Axiom, and all the positive feedback on your website (and others)..I went out on a limb and purchased the Epic Grand Master HT system..It arrived in 2 or 3 days to my door. I was very impressed with the great packaging. The speakers were beautiful, a concern based on the contact paper covering..but it really is nice.

BUT THE SOUND!! is just incredible!! Honestly the M22 front speakers sound as clear as some Boston Acoustics units that I listened to for 2x the price!! The system just blows me away when watching movies with surround sound, but yet they are equally adept at handling music (I tend to listen to rock..Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, etc..)..and usually at somewhat elevated volumes. I just cannot get over how clear this thing sounds (I have it hooked up to a new 90W Denon 6.1 receiver). Even songs that I have heard a million times seem to have a new life to them, the instruments are so well defined it is incredible.

Everyone that has heard has commented on the sound, it is very impressive to say the least, and is a great compliment to my new TV, in fact I would say that it "makes" the TV!! I cannot imagine having any other speaker after owning these. They are just great, and they are everything everyone said they were-and more.

I have attached some photos of my new toys. Thanks again for the great products and support-the web site is great, as is the personal touch that it gives, I mean where else can you talk to the head of a company who gives real and honest feedback and answers to customers? I will strongly recommend your speakers to anyone who asks, and even to those who dont!

I don't have a question, I just didn't know what link to choose so I chose this one. I purchased a surround set using your M3 v2s, QS4 v2s, and a VP100 v2. But this is not directly related to that.

This is just to say "thank you" for being a company that relies on things like customer service, quality, and simplicity to make your way.

I previously ordered your "Full Metal Bracket" for my center speaker, but was just recently able to install it. It turned out to be just another PERFECT product. Nothing fancy, just simple, strong, and infinitely adjustable. I will be a proponent of yours for as long as you are in business, and should I need additional HT speakers or what have you, Axiom is my first call. I don't even need to go in to the quality and sound of your speakers, all you have to do is read the reviews. (I do have to say that I went with a Hsu sub that is equally bad-ass, but I wonder if I shouldn't have ponied up for one of yours!)

For the past 15 years Axiom speakers have been my speaker of choice.They sound more real then another speaker that I have heard and I've heard many.The sound stage is perfect and every sound seems natural.I own the epic series without the sub and still those little speakers perform without any colouration in sound and yet still provide some bass.I really love the quad pole surround speakers.
