Wow, is all I can say!! A treat for music and movies. You may want to warn your neighbors before you get complaints. It shakes my entire house and deck, which is at the opposite end of the house and the sub is in the basement :-).

Always extremely musical with great impact and accurate low bass tonality delineation, the EP500 is a superb sounding sub at all listening levels in both Stereo and HT movie multi-channel applications!

This subwoofer is well worth the money. You won't regret it!

For my dedicated home theatre room, I upgraded from the EP400 to the EP500, which is a fair bit larger and heavier, but has a lot more punch. Of particular note, the upgrade process was easy and seamless, I was provided with a prepaid label to return the EP400 and was permitted to keep it until the EP500 arrived. This bad boy can be adjusted to meet the requirements of any system and user, whether it’s lower volumes while still producing confident bass, or seamless integration for a realistic home theatre feel, to extra or even insane bass (the floor shakes, pictures rattle, it’s great!). I chose to set the sub so it property integrates with the rest of my system (VP150, M22 on-wall, M2 on-wall; 7.1 surround), it accurately and confidently reproduces lower frequencies while not being overbearing (80hz crossover), with no signs/sounds of stress or ‘port chuffing’. Much more clean, tight, and accurate bass than other subs I’ve heard. Great customer service, great product!

I have been Really Wow'ed with my Axiom EP 500 v.2's brute output power, finesse, articulation and musical accuracy!!! It fills my 5300cf home theater room with cement slab shaking, visceral impact bass that extends well beyond audibility, never seeming strained or peaked, always well controlled and fast, while maintaining superb low bass tonality that is always musical...I'm impressed (so are my neighbors, hehe)!!!

Kudos Axiom for continuing to offer absolutely amazing products, at very reasonable prices, and with the best Customer Service available anywhere... bar none!! I became a happy Axiom customer in August 2002 with the purchase of a pair of M60 Ti SE's. My current purchase of an EP500 sub has once again confirmed the excellent sound, build quality, and customer support that your company provides. One word to best describe the EP500...awesome! Looking forward to my next Axiom purchase!

Just returned from a business trip to find the EP500 waiting for me. I was rather amazed that the *GIANT* 80-pound box made it half way across the country without a scratch on it... but the unit was securely packaged and is working just fine. In fact, it works so well that my wife and I both stood mouths open (not kidding!) as it shook the rafters and window glass in our house. Amazing! Love that palpable, tight bass. More testimony to follow after I've had a chance to get the sub completely dialed in....

The 500 came right on time and I'm extremely pleased with its performance. Interestingly, it replaces my 10 yr. old Paradigm PS 1000 which was recommended in the Cdn. publication "Sound and Vision" by Axiom's own Alan Lofft (I think it was Alan who wrote the review!). If the 500 gives me the same trouble-free pleasure that my Paradigm has given me over the years, I will, indeed, be very happy camper! Merry Xmas to yourself and all of the Axiom family,

I have the EP500 all hooked up and let me tell you...I give it a A rating. I blends seamlessly into my existing system and adds the low, low, low end to the entire system.

The sub sounds amazing...I am re-discovering all my CD's!

The sub is just what I expected, loud and deep without the booming or hum like my old sub. The surrounds have opened up the effects from my DVD's that I always knew were there but couldn't hear. My new problem is what to do about the center and front speakers. But that's why the M60's and the VP150 are on my Christmas list. Thanks for making high quality products and providing top notch support. I am a satisfied customer.

When I selected the equipment for my new home theatre, I new that it would sound great, even the possibility of sounding exceptional even came to mind. But after listening for a few of days, simply astonishing is a much more formidable description. Thanks Axiom . P.S. The Epicenter 500 Sub scares the $#!% out of my dogs... :)

It is installed. Already the music sounds more filling...just the opposite of lite beer. The sitar which doesn't really reach low/loud bass...sounds fuller and the undertones of the drone make it more like reality. With effective power balancing the bass is confirmed and its presence goes without too much emphasis!!!

I have received the EP500 and although I still need to perform some more set up and calibration, I am impressed with it's sound and features (this is the first speaker I have owned with a USB port :-) Overall, I am VERY pleased with the way my system is sounding. It is so clean that I find that I need to occasionally monitor my levels with my SPL meter so as not to damage my hearing from listening too loud. Thanks,

I cannot believe the difference in both music and movies since getting the EP500. My bass repsonse is so smooth, yet very deep. I was happy with my sub from a "larger" manufactuer but the EP500 is no comparison. I thought at first "great I'll do a 2 sub setup", but why? The EP500 takes care of it all and with the gain at only 1/4 - 1/3 the way up in a very open room. 

The EP 500 rocks, I am still tweaking but I think I found the sweet spot, but when I was crawling around on the floor with scotch tape the other night my wife told me I needed a hobby, I said, What do you think this is? One of my buddy came over last night that runs dual Sunfire Subs in his system and he was ashamed after sitting on my couch while I was playing a little R&B with some great bass in it for him. Again, Thanks for the time and the great audio equipment. I am really enjoying it.

I received my new Axiom EP500, and well, it absolutely has surpassed my highest expectations. The new sub handles the reference material without hesitation and delivers bass that is frankly "scary". My home theater is now the shining star I had hoped it would be. Your speakers are nothing short of amazing in all aspects. My cd collection is being re-discovered due to the M60's, and the rest of the system makes Star Wars and other reference DVD's sound better than any movie theater could. More importantly, is the level of service I have received from each of you. From my initial e-mails w/Brent prior to purchase, through the placement of the 500, all three of you have been world class. Both Brent and Alan have provided excellent technical information to asset me as well as very warm and hospitable attitudes. Noreen has been wonderful in her consistent communication during shipments. As someone who works for a company that strives to be "the best" in customer service in the technology industry, your fine company is certainly a "Best Practice" for any company wanting to do it right. Thanks again to each of you for your great product, and OUTSTANDING service.
