Looking for hi-fidelity sound that doesn't take up any floor or shelf space? The new M22 On-Wall/In-Wall provides the kind of transparent, neutral, wide-range sound you expect from Axiom, without any of the compromises that plague other in-wall speakers. The M22 On-Wall/In-Wall hybrid speaker preserves the sonic clarity of its bookshelf equivalent, the M22, and adds a slim profile that is a perfect complement to today's modern low-profile plasma and LCD TV screens. The dual 5 1/4-inch aluminum cone woofers enable louder playback levels and greater power handling in larger rooms. Its output and exceedingly natural sound outperform any speaker in its class.

Other in-walls rely on the wall cavity to tune the bass output, resulting in a speaker whose performance varies from wall to wall and room to room, and may even produce distorted sound in neighboring rooms.

Overcoming these drawbacks, the M22 On-Wall/In-Wall features a fully integrated enclosure that recesses into the wall, combined with an attractive exterior baffle portion that keeps the speaker's woofer and tweeter away from the sound-degrading effects of the wall's front surface. The speaker ports are cleverly hidden at the base of the outer baffle.

A supplied self-clamping frame anchors the speaker firmly to the wall when the screws are tightened. The series is available in a variety of attractively-finished front baffles to suit any decor.

Recommended: You'll enjoy enhanced and extended deep bass response if you mate the M22 On-Wall/In-Wall with one of Axiom's powered subwoofers.

I read the reviews, saw the awards, and liked the style but had never heard them. I thought I would give it a shot, but had not had a chance to put in my order. My wife bought the M22 bookshelf speakers for the heck of it (without me knowing), knowing I have wanted a new set of speakers. I dragged my wife along to listen to many options over the last couple of years, and I must say the M22 are the best bookshelf speakers we have heard! The first night I had them I did an A/B test with my Polks using Frank Sinatra's Christmas cd and I think it was the first time my wife commented on a speaker's performance. Thank you, Axiom, for making such a wonderful speaker at an outstanding price. They produce a wonderful, crisp, clear sound listening to metal, Sinatra, classical or movies. Keep up the good work, and thanks to my loving and gorgeous wife.

Just got the speakers and I've found I'm falling in love with my music all over again. Hearing things I haven't heard before. The sound is very clean without being austere, warm without being wooly. 5-1/4 woofers give amazing bass reproduction, even without a subwoofer, which I may decide to add eventually. But since I don't listen as much to rock/pop as I do to jazz and orchestral, these have plenty of oomph with no distortion. And they look great too. I can't wait to go home and put on another disc!
