The new W150 center channel speaker's three woofers and two tweeters provide the kind of transparent, neutral, wide-range sound you expect from Axiom, without any of the weaknesses that plague other in-wall speakers. Other in-walls rely on the wall cavity to tune the bass output, resulting in a speaker whose performance varies from wall to wall and room to room. Additionally, the drivers' rear output produces distorted sound in the neighboring rooms.

The W150 overcomes these drawbacks with a fully integrated enclosure that recesses into the wall, combined with an attractive exterior baffle portion that keeps the speaker's woofers and tweeters away from the sound-degrading effects of the wall's surface.
The W150 on-wall/in-wall hybrid center speaker preserves the sonic clarity of its stand-alone equivalent, the VP150. The triple 5 1/4-inch aluminum cone woofers and dual 1-inch titanium tweeters provide exceptional detail and wide-angled dispersion in medium to large rooms.
A supplied self-clamping frame anchors the speaker firmly to the wall when the screws are tightened. The series is available in a variety of attractively-finished front baffles to suit any decor.
