Homeowners associations....yuck. Our last house in Orlando had one and I was one of the few who kept our yards manicured to a 'T' ... no one said a word, good or otherwise. We bought a brand new boat (nice and shiny), kept it in storage and I would go get it the night before and park it in the driveway for the next days boating, well lo and behold if it wasn't but a couple of times that one particular piss ant complained our boat was parked in the driveway overnight so I got a ticket.
We moved to the beach, no homeowners association and the neighborhood looks ten times better than our other 'hood ... even with folks having huge boats, RVs parked beside their houses and all everybody keeps their yards very well manicured also. We're all a bunch of older rouges ... somebody brought up the idea of a homeowners associations a while back and collectively we dropped kicked that notion faster than light travel. Our next boat will be parked right beside the house where I poured a concrete pad specifically for it.
Nice pics Dennis, glad to hear you got the 80s back ... you know they sound equally as well in the house!

I can understand wanting to park toys on ones property, I have always lived on acreage and done as I pleased. But when one moves into these California communities and you have no yard to speak of, you need to make consessions. When one starts to block things like sidewalks and fire hydrants, I tend to speak up.
The only good area for the 80s and Qs is the garage actually, all the other areas of the house will just not work for them. Actually I will get more use out of them in the garage than trying to squeeze in the house. lol

I hear you there Dennis. That's what always yanked my chain in the old place, even with the homeowners associations folks didn't think nothing of parking in the street or on the sidewalk and oh man, don't even get me started on the chuckleheads who's lawn always looked as though they kept Roundup on it but for some strange reason they sure didn't like the idea of the boat in the driveway overnight ... sometimes wonder if it were my Cummins diesel starting up at 4 in the morning.

If you can believe it, about a year ago a neighbor at the end of the cul-de-sac had a party on the weekend. The street was packed with cars, and instead of parking around the corner, a nice person parked his Hummer in my drive way. When I opened the garage door I could even believe it, walked down to the party, found the person, asked him to move his Hummer. He thoguht was he would move it when he got around to it, came home, called the police and had them remove it.
I just powered up the 80s, and I may not get much else done today now. lol

Since I pushed the RV storage in his yard, after he spent about $10k re-doing with concrete for it.....he now uses it to park his truck, but needs to drive over the curb to do it. He has been fined a few times, becasue that is a code violation, but since money is no object, he continues to park on his pad. lol
Careful Tharkun, if this guy has as much cash as you say, he'll buy a bigger, louder system!

LOL...........I doubt it, but he will need to go some to out power the 80s, and I don't have the funds to power them with Halos.
