It depends the line from Paradigm. Axioms blow the Monitor series away. Yes indeed they do, but I have always found Monitor 9's to be brilliant sounding speakers for - $1000. It would be nice to do a comparison for fun but I'm still looking for a local Axiomite to help me out.

From what I remember, they have gotten mixed reviews. Its one of those things though, if you really want to know, you gotta try them yourself. Fred, have you seen any professional reviews of them other than the Audioholics one. I was initially intregued by it but after they came out I wasn’t seeing any other pro reviews just links to and reposts of the Audioholics one. Of the few user reviews I saw one said that they weren’t anything special and a couple others raved about the surrounds but really just sounded like rehashes of what Audioholics said and nothing to indicate that they really put them through their paces. I didn’t want to wait anymore and eventually just added a couple M22s to my last Axiom order for the hell of it and am very happy I did.

I find it interesting that the ERM/D's are 4 ohm speakers which would effectively eliminate a great many people from buying them.

Hey Jake (not to hijack this thread again or anything) have you ever heard of a place called 'Bowden'? I lived there for 5 years when I was a kid, just before we moved to the states. It's not too far from Calgary, but it's TINY! Like 800 people when I lived there (1975 - 1980)...
... carry on.

Lets see here. As of right now I have Hsu speakers, B&W, American Acoustics, Cerwin Vega, and Axioms. I have owned Pioneer HPM 1500s, EPI 100s, Bose 901s, Def Tech pro 40,Design Acoustics and a few I can't recall at this time. I really do like my M80s but in time I will be replacing them with a big ol set of Maggies.
HMMM biased.

Fred, have you seen any professional reviews of them other than the Audioholics one Good point Dean. It was reviews on the audioholics forum I was referring to so there is a greater possibility of bias. If I have time today I am going to search back through audioholics to see if I can dig up the review I remember (another dangerous thing, me relying on my not so perfect memory).
