I don't want his magic coloring the sound, though.

your all biased in here,......... loosten up y'all, get the stick outta your arse's enjoy speakers and audio. ohhh no not us were biased to only axiom,..YES they are awesome, being a former owner of m-80's. but ive bouht and listened to 10-15 brands over te yearsm axioms are good, but definately not superior. my old wharfedales would do a number on these, so would my definitive tech's , and my cerwin vega D-9's i feel.
but you guys just go on and ONLY talk and by axiom speaks. youll neveer experience life as it was meant to be full of choices deciisions Waited for a while to post on any of Arctikdeth's threads (kind of knowing something like this would be posted). Arctikdeth, buy what you want. Don't belittle people on this board for what they believe either. If you can afford 21+ year old scotch, you can certainly afford any speaker you want. 80% of your posts are so riddled with typos and grammatical errors that it is hard for someone to fully understand what you are truly trying to say. You bring nothing to the table to discuss, and only use web-ebonics and belittling to get your point across. If you don't like Axiom, I can understand it, and I hope you can find a speaker that makes you happy. I for one am tired of reading the garbage you post. JMHO.

Arctikdeth, regarding your comment about being biased, I believe it's time to pause and reflect i.e. your posts are ladened with biases whether it be your favorite Scotch etc., but that's okay, what's not is condescension, which the "regular" Axiom community doesn't tolerate because we don't dish it out unless antagonized.
Nobody lives there life without biases; an opinion is a bias, which everyone has virtually day in and day out.
Cheers and all the best

I don't know about that. If I readjusted my priorities and became an alcoholic with expensive taste, I could certainly afford 21+ year old scotch and have no money left over for anything else.

I love my Axioms too. That's why I've bought 5 sets. I was just curious about the Emos since I also like their amps and processors so much. I'm getting ready to buy another set of M22s but was wondering about the Emo ERMs. I guess it was kinda lame for me to even ask -- especially here..... :-)
Sorry that I am late to this party. I don't think that you have to apologize for asking Axiom owners about hearing other brands of speakers. I've got an Axiom sub and surrounds mixed with mains from a different manufacturer. I am probably not finished buying amps and speakers. It is fun to try new things and while I would like to hear new speakers before purchasing them, that is not always possible. I say that you should buy the Emotiva speakers and return them if they don't satisfy you. You know what the M22s sound like and you can always purchase them after trying the Emos.
