hi, I have a denon 2309 receiver can I connect the output(FL/FR) from the receiver to a 2 channel amp. This denon model does not have a pre-amp out thanks

Vish, welcome. No, the input to a separate amplifier is a low level one that isn't compatible with the much higher speaker level output from the receiver terminals.

Vish, as you said above, the 2309 does not have Pre-outs to hook up to any amp. The UPA-2 has RCA input jacks like any other amp where you go from the Pre-outs on a receiver to the amp. Then the speaker binding posts on the amp are hooked up to your speakers.

vish, is there some specific reason you are looking to add a seperate amp, ie. listen at really loud levels or very large room? The 2309 should be able to drive any speaker to about 90-95db with ease.

I have m80 v2 and was trying to get some more kick for those FR/FL. I have VP150 V2 which is fine with the denon 2309.

How big is your room? That Denon should give the 80's plenty of power, unless your listening at concert levels.
