I know the chrome grill doesn't reveal the drivers but I am hoping the black grill (still) does.

I hope the Air will ship with Raspberry Pi3 so that the platform isn't obsolete before it even ships .

What difference would it make if it was the Pi3 or a Pi-Zero?? it needs enough power to run a music queue and power the dac. there isn't any real cpu processing in any of that.

Where are Pi-Zero boards going to be sourced from for warranty purposes?

I am sure that Axiom are getting a bunch of boards. If you go onto the Raspberry Pi, there are a whole load of different options. Many developers used the Pi2b for development, then used the Pi1a for release as it requires less power to run and for imbedded devices, you don't need all the extra i/o interfaces that the 2b had. They also have the The Compute Module Development Kit that can be used that simplifies the layout and gets rid of the SD card needed for the OS to boot from. My point is that the speed of the processor doesn't really make a hoot of difference, and does it really matter if your wifi is built in or as a plug in module?

And if it was a Pi-Zero, for the $5 for the board, would you really want to warranty it, or simply just pull the board and replace??

What I am sure of is that Axiom understand supply chains...

That's sweet, congrats Ian! Good job Axiom, I know mine is going to get a lot of attention because I am at a different customer pretty much everyday, besides all the tradesmen and tradeswomen trying to figure out what I have....going to be fun!
