That's the catch: imaging and soundstage is made by the recording engineer, not the loudspeaker. I'm still waiting for audio reviewers to figure that out.

Imaging and soundstage is built into the recording by the recording engineer but not all speakers can faithfully reproduce them. Then we have the ALFRs. They can produce natural width far beyond their lateral boundaries where none has been baked into the recording. Simply awesome!
