Today Fed Ex showed up with my M60s, VP100, Qs8, and EP350. The first thing I noticed is how much each of the speakers weighed, about double the speakers I was replacing.
They are also even nicer looking in person. I had read that the grills on the speakers were a little flimsy, but I really was not disappointed they fit very snug and look very sleek.
I set up all of the speakers and got out my Avia disk. I am currently using my old receiver a Sony STR-DE 945. I have a Yammy 2500 on order but have not received it yet. After setting up my system with the Avia disk and moving my sub a few time I got everything sounding awesome. One thing I did notice I that I had to turn the sub down -9db to get the system balanced at 85db with the Avia disk. I think the sub sound like it need to be turned up, but I am afraid I have been listening to the sub to loud in the past, m I think I need to just get used to it. The M60s and EP350 are a huge improvement over my old Infinity SL40 speakers and JBL 12. So far very happy and cant wait to watch a movie!

nice set-up slipon.. ok, that sounded funny..
just a hint on the sub calibration thing.. there is no iron clad law that says you have to have the sub perfectly calibrated with the other speakers.. ideally, it does create the seamless sound that is the desired effect by most HT enthuasists. but, if you prefer a little more bass, then it is perfectly OK for you to turn it up a bit. some people prefer more bass, some less.. that is the beauty of having a fully adjustable system.. you can make it sound perfect, to your liking..
just my opinion...

I am very happy with how the QS8 sound mounted on the rear wall, although I have not tried to move them because that is were my Infinitys were before.I might try and move them around and see how they sound after my new receiver arrives tomorrow.

Windows Rattling?
Depending on the way your windows are made, a syringe (small needle) with some clear silcone in it, injected between the glass and the frame and allowed to set up, should eliminate the "buzz"...
Just an idea...

DAMN!!!!!! i have it too.. it drives me crazy. i have yet to be able to get rid of it. i might try furrers silicon thing..
if you REALLY want to hear it rattle. watch the DTS of 'Kill Bill, volume 1'. at the beginning of the movie, while the credits are rolling, there is a song playing where the girl sings, "bang, bang".. that song has a bass line that is SOOOO low, it makes my whole house shake.. check it out.
