The faux wood finish I envisioned was, where a "wood grain" is created with a brush, and then a glossy poly-seal. This looks like wood, even up close.
I don't know if this is feasible, or cost effective....but it would look cool....IMO.

AND, a Cypress green, too.....(just happens to be the color of my siding)
