Please forgive my ignorance on this, but remember that there are 7 people in New Hampshire of Spanish or Mexican Heritage, and I slept through my "Language" for Travel" class in high school 25 years ago:
I assume "Latino" and "Latina' refer to different sexes?

From Wikipedia - The term "Latino" refers loosely to any person having Latin American background and is often taken to be a synonym with "Hispanic"......"The English language does not distinguish between the male and female genders. This leads many native English speakers to say Latino when referring to a woman." Maybe I should have used "Latin" females to be politically correct for Ken.

According to my Hispanic Sister-in-Law, here in Texas, "Meha" means "Little Girl" while "Meho" means "Little Boy"... Extrapolating from the above it appears (and is used locally) that "Latina" means "Older Girl or Woman of Latin descent"...and "Latino" stands for "Male of Latin descent" as well as the definition SirQuack found via Wiki. I guess it depends on where you are in the country... Viva La Difference! WhatFurrer
