Do many people mount M22's and VP150's on the wall? I assume that the brackets get the speakers far enough away from the wall that sound quality is not affected.

My other question is using the wall bracket with the 100 or 150. Will the bracket be "hidden" by the speaker or would it still be sticking out under the speaker?

I think it would look pretty sharp to have the m22's/150/ and an LCD TV all wall mounted with the cables hidden.

The only thing cluttering up the view would be the STF-3 I have on order. Whoo-hoo!

Next decision: M22's/150 before the price hike or get RRSP's?

There are a few M22's wall mounted and the Vp series will mount very easily as well. They all have an insert in the back to accept a bolt. I believe the brackets will be barely visible at the bottom of the VP when mounted.

You already know the answer to RRSP's or ......

I had my VP150 mounted for over a year and it just looked liked it was floating in air...no bracket could be seen.

Alan also mentioned that you can get an increase in bass when the M22 is wall mounted. I'll look for the thread.. link

Hay: Thanks for the link, very good info to have. I did look briefly at the W's but the $ scared me off a bit. Were you able to screw your 150 into a stud? 21 pounds seems like a lot of weight to trust to a couple of drywall anchors.

When I had the basement finished I made sure I had some 2x4's vertical and horizontal to have plenty of space to anchor my center and surronds.

The bracket was very sturdy and I actually hung off of it to test and at 2 bills plus I'm not a light weight. The only thing that bothered my about the set up was that it's only the 1 bolt and it kind of balances there.

You need to be sure to have the FMB fairly tight on the VP150 to ensure it does not slip. Mine was on the wall for around 2 years <I think> and it was off centre to the TV <miscalculation> which drove my up the wall. I eventually moved it and I didn't tighten it up enough. My 2.5 year old was jumping/dancing around upstairs and shook the floor enough where the centre spun. My fault as it was not tight enough, but I re-evaluated and put the centre on a stand in front of the TV. A blessing in disguise because it sounds much better now and the dialogue seems better anchored to the screen. My centre was a little high on the wall but I was leaving room for Tv growth

My only suggestion would be to put something between the speaker and the mount so the finish doesn't get messed up. Possibly a little thin piece of rubber or something??

If An M22 is wall mounted with FMB's, how much swivel left/right will be available? Any pictures of the M22 mounted on FMB's? Thanks.

Rye Guy, that STF-3 will look nice with the setup. I just got mine last week and it looks great next to my 61" RPTV. My wife likes the look of it and my kids are scared of the wall shaking bass.

I'm getting M22's, VP150 and QS8's to fill out my system and will be putting them on stands for now, but when I move it all downstairs to the HT room I will be wall mounting everything using the FMB's and think it will be a great look.

I took it that a wall mounted M22 would sound a bit better than an in-wall W22 from some reviews I read. Good luck with it.

ZZen: I haven't seen any pictures, but looking at the drawings in the mounting instructions, I don't see anything keeping it from swiveling either direction until the speakers hit the wall.

ctown: I'm having quite a bit of fun with my STF-3 as well! I've got it turned up to just above 1/2 and I don't think it needs to go louder anytime sooner. If your kids have "Finding Nemo" go to about the 1:18 mark where Darla taps on the fish tank. Kids won't sleep for a week!

This is the exact same speaker setup I hope to have by the end of the year. What receiver are you going to be using with your setup? I was hoping for an Outlaw 1070 but they're about $1200 by the time it gets to my doorstep.

rye guy - yeah it seems that the limit in swivel would be the M22's hitting the wall. Since the mount puts the back of the speakers just voer 2.5 inches from the wall and given the width of the M22, I think it would not swivel very far before hitting the wall. I would need it to swivel a bit farther...hmm.

I recentently mounted my m22's on the wall close to the ceiling. Due to the location of the mounting hole on the m22 I had to add a spacer between the bracket and the m22. Once I added the spacer it gave me more flexibility to position it exactly where I wanted. When I get home tonight I will try to take some pictures and post them.
