Hi all, Just wanted to show my layout since I've moved into my apartment and finally got my tv stand. It was on order for over a month. Note to self: do not buy cheapy furniture with doors from Dania and expect the doors to sit flush. List of the goods: - Denon 2307ci Receiver - Denon 1930ci DVD player - Pioneer Elite DV-45a DVD player (for cds) - Belkin Pure AV line conditioner (because I like how it hides all my power cables in the back) - Sits on a Sanus - AFA rack (shelves stratch sooo easily) - Samsung LN-S4095D tv - Axiom M60ti - Wharfedale Evolution centre channel - PS2 - All digital connections, except component cables from the cable box - homemade speaker cables - my Grados just went out on me, so I just got a pair of AKG K 701s. Now that I really can't push the M60s at all... - I also bought a Harmony universal remote, the ~$100 variety. I'm about ready to throw it into traffice. What a waste. Thanks for all the help with the few newbie questions I've had. -Paul

Looks very nice and I'm sure it sounds killer. Looking at the m60's, I know why my first Axiom setup was in Mansfield.....

Kee,
That looks great! Why do you have a separate DVD player for CDs?

That's one heck of a 'budget' system. IMHO, a 'Budget Axiom system' consist of a pair of M2's, an old Sony DiscMan CD player, and an old receiver that's held together by duct tape and clothes hangers. Get yourself a nice HSU,SVS, or Axiom sub and a pair of QS8's and you are set! I understand the Harmony frustrations. Stick with the Harmony and give it some time to 'sink in'. It takes time. I bought the 550 and was frustrated with it at first, and darn near returned it. After several hours (5+ total, probably) of tinkering with the setup and key assignments, and another several days of adjusting my brain, I got used to it. Now, 3 months later, with all the buttons customized exactly as I want, I don't know what I'd do without it (besides leave all 7 of my remotes on the coffee table).

Yeah, I've got my Harmony almost to the point I want it, although multi-room on the thing is pretty iffy. It's a nice remote--you'll get the hang of it. Also, no system with M60s is budget.

Thanks for all the comments guys!... Ok, i'll keep the Harmony for a while longer... I have the separate dvd/cd player because I had it, but wanted a better dvd player, so I just use it as a cd player for now. Might just give it to one of my friends. I don't have much good to say about Pioneer stuff I've owned...
Actually, the M60s are in a custom vinyl finish... Can't remember the name. As for the sub; I wish I could, but I don't think the downstairs neighbors would like that at all.

Wow, if that is what you call a budget setup I would like to see what you have in mind for a "nice" home theater.

Paul, that is a very nice and clean looking set-up. Good job. Like everyone else has said, I wouldn't consider it "budget."
