I'm not posting much because I'm in Portland visiting a friend, and tomorrow we're going to see Metric at Wonder Ballroom. I'm excited. I know, this post doesn't really qualify for this thread yet, but shut up.

Okay, so I have an extra ticket for the Metric show tonight. The person who had a claim to it is sick. Anyone in the area want a free ticket? PM me, I suppose, and maybe we can work out a way for you to get it.

How do you like Portland? I hear that it's an amazing place to live.

Portland's pretty great, but I wouldn't want to live there, or any big city. It's too wet for me, but the occasional visit is perfect.

Oh, yay, it's actually posting. I wasn't able to post last night or this morning until now. I reset my cable modem, router, switch, flushed my internet cache (including cookies), restarted my computer, and made axiomaudio.com a trusted site. One of those things solved my problem.

Okay, so I've been having more trouble. This is another test message.

But yeah, Metric was good live. The only problem is that the levels were mixed poorly, making the vocals hard to make out. I still enjoyed it, but it would have been nice to hear the lyrics to all of the new songs.

Dicky Betts & Great Southern outdoors last night at a local on-the-water restaurant, bar & outdoor resort about a 10 minute drive from our home, the old fella can still get it done convincingly and his son ain't half bad either ... we really had a great time.

I'm certainly not a Mark Johnson by any means but here's a pic...

Red Hot Chili Peppers baby !!!!!!!

Ok, that was a DVD (Live at Slane Castle) and I had way too much to drink last night. \:\)

It's a Great DVD concert anyway, even if you don't normally like the RHCP's.

I caught my first concert in quite some time late last week and was lucky enough to see Hey Rosetta!, The Mohawk Lodge and Octoberman at a small coffee shop in Winnipeg. Listeners to CBC3 will probably recognize a song or two from each of these bands and they didn't disappoint in concert. It was tough not to feel sorry for the Mohawk Lodge and Octoberman however, their van had broken down in BC so they'd played the last 3 shows (including Winnipeg) with only 1/2 the usual contingent since that was all they could fit in the "good" van. Nice bunch of folks though and enjoyed chatting with them after the show. Here's hoping they had some better luck as they headed east!

Hey CV, who opened for Metric?
