There it is the M60 as a center channel, all I can say is if you have the room, I would highly recommend it. I disconnected the mains and just ran the center to check for any loss off axis.
I had no loss of db at about 20-25 deg. off axis and the sound was a perfect match for the M80s, at least during the LOTR beginning sequence.
I now want to renovate the basement just so I could utilize this setup.

I personally believe 'ol Jason is a couple of speakers shy of a full load.

Jason, I tried the 60 route as a vertical center ... worked great for sound but it sure made it difficult to view the TV screen. ;\)

I've been tossing around the same thing. If I get rid of my vp150, what would I use to match my 80's. If I got rid of my stage below my screen I could get another 80, or use a 60. Or what about 2 22's, 2 3's, etc...

That 400 that I'm keeping warm for you will look perfect nestled in there.

What can I say, I saw the opportunity and took it. I won't have the M60s much longer as they are heading back after our GTG, so I had to try it out. I didn't have time to hook up the M22's, VP150 and M60 as a center, my findings were just for the M60 alone, but now that I thought about it I think that is tomorrow's project.

Jason, you've discovered the inherent superiority of a vertical center compared to most horizontal configurations.

The M60 with the M80s is far superior to the vertical M22, but that may have just been the fact the M22 is so high up with my present setup. Obviously another M80 would be the absolute best but I didn't have a spare M80 left in the boxes I have sitting around here right now.lol
