Hey, thanks everyone. Cam, I'll check e-Bay out in case Jason's doesn't work for my wife.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/det...nics_38372408_1Amazon has the 880 for $129. I have the Monster AVL300. It's does z wave dimmer lights too, which is why I went that route. Uses Harmony software but tech support is thru Monster. - JD

Are the buttons on the Monster fairly small? I went with the Harmony 1000 because a large touch screen is easy for me to navigate, but it only controls IR light switches. I was going to get the Monster remote also to use in collaboration with my Harmony for my home automation.
Thanks Cam

I caught he11 from my wife on my 880 Harmony purchase right up until she used it and all the other remotes got put away for good. The only other comments I've had regarding the purchase was ... "honey where's the remote?". Your wife's complaints won't last longer than it takes for her to use it IMHO.

Thanks everyone. I bought the Harmony 676 from London Drugs for less than $90 (thanks Al). This serves all of my needs although I am not too fond of the buttons beside the LCD. I've programmed it so that it automatically opens and closes the CD tray and puts the receiver into the correct audio mode. Does anyone know how to get it to set the volume to -20 for music and -15 for movies? Now if I could only get it to open the entertainment unit doors it would really be wife-proof .

If you need help with a setting on it and we can't help, call the harmony support number. I called a couple of times when I first got mine and they were good about being able to get it setup. Since it is done through the Internet they can even configure a setting for you and you just have to DL it to the remote.

That's a good thought. I never considered on-line support for a remote .

I should try that regarding my discreet code issue on the Yamaha DVD changer I've got. Yamaha was no help at all.
