That stuff works great to remove decals or bumper stickers and the like, I didn't know you could use it to clean records... Cool! Yup! It's amazing stuff!

I picked up a few more nice pieces today. One of them being I haven't listened to these guys in 20+ years. It sure was a blast from the past.

Got some original Glenn Gould on vinyl recently. Listened to the 81 version of the Goldberg Variations last night. Very beautiful on vinyl. I read that engineers hated working with him because of the humming. I didn't hear as much on the vinyl as I did on the CD version. I felt the CD, oddly, was more accurate and engaging. It's usually the opposite - vinyl is usually far more superior and realistic. The vinyl on the Goldberg Variations is wonderful sounding, but it was also an early digital recording, which makes me wonder. Perhaps they were able to expand on that digital recording 20 years later, when the CD that I purchased was released. Anyway, both are very enjoyable.

It's all in the mastering.

Agreed, but I usually don't like the remastered versions. This is one exception, clearly.

Zoe, although it's a bit pricey, because of your listening preferences you absolutely have to get this .

That's a bargain! But, wait, I want the humming. Maybe they have a reverse humming version? That would likely cost double though. LOL!!!
