Sad news indeed. Please accept my condolences. I almost lost my wife and newborn a couple of years ago during delivery, and am thankful every day for what I have. It can all change in a flash.

Hi again,

Sorry to bring this up again but I just wanted to have an attempt at closure.

The funeral was a week ago today, and if it's supposed to make you feel better then it did the trick. The location was fairly new; and unlike where we had my mother's funeral, the location was more like an art gallery than a funeral home. It was quite uplifting and left everyone feeling positive.

We expected about 90 people and got 140+. The service was conducted by my cousin and was very touching. He has the ability to make everyone feel like they are all part of the same family.

I'm keeping very busy settling my mother's estate, selling her condo and trying to wrap up all the loose ends involving Mary. I have good days and horrible days. I know for a fact that the good days are going to be increasing in numbers.

Starting to babble (again) so I just want to say thank you all so much for your thoughts and words. They made a real difference.

You are an amazing group of people.

Dear Wayne,

Thanks so much for checking in. I did notice that you were online this morning, and I had the brief inclination to "shout" at you. I figured you'd chime in when you felt like it.

I'm so glad you got some comfort from family and loved ones at the service. Sounds like you're lucky to have your cousin in your life.

Remember to find some joy in music when you can.

Wayne, like Tom, I'm glad you had friends and family around you during the service.

I wish you comfort and happiness as the days move forward.

Good to hear you are on the bumpy road to healing. Don't worry, you'll find smooth road again. Time. Wishing you well, Wayne.

Please add my voice to the chorus, as Tom nicely put it. Sorry for missing this thread and being late to offer a kind word, but here is the kind word anyway: Love.

We grieve because we love, because we loved. Remember the love and you will be an emotionally rich man forever.

I echo that you have shown great strength and kindness to share your news with us. Your posts, Jack's seed post, and the dozens of responses have really shown the best of our community.

Best wishes to you.

I've not been around here much lately so I missed all the earlier posts. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, and at the same time thrilled to once again see what an amazing community we have here on the Axiom boards. This is truly a special place. We're all here for you Wayne.
