Well, just to drive everyone here absolutely insane with jealousy, tonight it's Weird Al Yankovic....

I'd type something really witty, but I got a boogie on my finger and I can't shake it off.

So you were there?

(It's an assumption based on the fact that half the people there had a boogie on their finger and couldn't shake it off.....)

I remember the reaction from one of my friends when I played him "Gotta Boogie" for the first time. After what seemed like endless verses of "Gotta boooooogie (gotta boogie!) ...", my friend asked, "Does the lyric ever change or is it 3 minutes of these 2 words?!"

Then Al whipped out the zinger and my friend put his head into his hands.

Ah, high school.

I get the impression that there's something I'm missing here...about that song likely....

I actually would like to see Weird Al in concert one day.

I hear that he does songs in concert that he never got approval to do on albums, like Prince songs. And then there's the Wings take off, "Chicken Pot Pie".

I saw him a few years back. Quite a bit of the duration was taken up by video to kill time while he changed elaborate costumes.

I think the crowd at a Weird Al show would make for interesting observations.

Much the same as this crowd does (*scribbles into journal*) ...

Isn't it nice to be part of vital scientific research?
