One of the benefits of having a pro do the work for you, if you have the coin, is the mental feeling that it is done right.
I myself enjoy researching, calibrating and tweaking on my own, but it becomes a constant thing because you always have this feeling in the back of your mind that you could do it better if you just go back and do it again. If I paid the big bucks for a pro, at least I'd probably be too scared of wasting my money to go in and play with it further. Well, sooner or later curiosity would overcome my fears.
With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

Those are natural feelings, Murph, but the cynic in me wonders if a pro would necessarily know his stuff. I've certainly encountered plenty of people in other areas paid to do stuff who don't know their butts from holes in the ground.

FYI, my equipment is being calibrated by AVS extraordinaire 'umr' (Jeff). If there is anyone who knows how to calibrate audio and video equipment, it's him.

Agreed Anthony. If I were investing in a 'pro', I would have to be confident that he knew his stuff to the point of genetic mutation.
