One of the - admittedly few - things I miss after resigning from Sun Microsystems to move to a 100-acre property in Tasmania (on top of a hill with a view over the Huon river that just won't quit ) is an internal mailing list for mac users, where smart technical folks could answer just about any question, and people from all levels of the company actively participated. I must say that the Axiom forums have become a second home for me: good advice, no foolish flaming, and lots of fun. Thanks and regards, David

Hey, who forgot to flame this guy? Sounds like we need to start planning Tasmaniafest 2009, wink wink nudge nudge ...

If I only had my 11" Schmidt Cassegrain up on top of that hill, I'm sure it has nice views of the heavans.

Welcome David! Yea there's some pretty decent folks around here but don't pay any mind to Medic8r's drugged out ramblings and watch out for Wid, he's a weirded out gun nutcase and Randy can only dream he had a 11" Schmidt, and if he did have one he certainly wouldn't have a clue as to what to do with it. Tasmania ... sounds like a devilish place to live.

I betcha! Just was remarking tonight to my wife after my obligatory once round the house with the dogs for last-minute widdles, etc. before bed that on the east side of the house, where there are no external lights, on a clear night like tonight the sky view is absolutely amazing.
Hasn't been that clear recently, have had a bunch of rain: can't complain, as we're on tank water, and looking forward to planting lots in the upcoming spring.
Regards, David

David. I found the same thing when I came here for audio advice.
How about a picture or two of that endless view?
