Well, the good thing is that since it's a collection of essays, it's easy to read one and then do something else for a little while. Sleep well, ice prince.

Agreed, "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay" was a good read.
Currently I'm trying to get into "Case Histories" by Kate Atkinson. It's not grabbing me yet, but I probably just need to sit down and devote some time to it.

Charles, I just finished the interview with Letterman. I've always been a big fan.... thanks for the link!

No problem! Yeah, the guy still surprises me. The bits on his show aren't that good, and I wouldn't say he's the smoothest interviewer, but sometimes the interviews can take some interesting turns. I think the moments I enjoy the most are the segments between the monologue and the interviews, when he's just at his desk talking about whatever. For me, that's where he pulls ahead of every other talk show host. I watch Conan faithfully, too, and while generally I'm laughing more at his show, Letterman in those moments makes me realize just how much I'll miss him when he's off the air. I really need to go see a taping of his show before he retires.

Joyce and I had tix to go on a Monday night 4~5 years ago, and we were planning on going down the night before. Unfortunately that Sunday night the NYC and coastal CT areas got a foot of snow...18" to 24" in our area inland... and we just didn't want to risk our lives to make the 300 mile drive....

Besides reading this forum I am reading from a BBQ forum. I am in the middle of building a drum smoker. So this is where I've been gathering all of the info needed for the build.
