Has any one tried Shock Top? I had it for the first time tonight and while I did not like it as much as a Blue Moon, I found it pretty good for an Anheuser-Busch beer. I tried it. While it wasn't bad, I was expecting a bit more. I agree with you, the Blue Moon is better. The Shock Top tasted good, but it was missing a little extra zing or something.

Yes, definitely not the zing of BlueMoon... I guess the bar was set low for me, so I was pleasantly surprised.

Plus it is a $3 beer as opposed to a $6 beer...

These must have been swimming horses, because they're attached to the ship that came in.

Has anyone tried the beer flavored water called MGD 64? As curious as I am to try it, I really don't understand the point of this beer. First of all, if you are watching your weight, but still want a beer for it's flavor, this probably won't be satisfying. But say you want to get drunk without the extra calories. I figure you'd probably have to drink at least 1.5 bottles of MGD 64 to get the same amount of alcohol that's in a regular light beer. So, unless it's possible to add more alcohol without adding calories, this beer seems useless. I think the only people who really could benefit from this beer are ones on low carb diets...but, there are probably better low carb choices already out there. Anyway, sorry for the rant! I don't mean to start an entire conversation about this beer, but have any of you beer connoisseurs tried it? You know...just for the heck of it?

Mary, ever since I had the unenviable experience of trying a Michelob Ultra, I steer clear of those types of beers.

Rant Away!! I'm morally against watery beer and beer flavored water sounds like an abomination.
And Peter! Congratulations, I have no doubt it is a well earned promotion.
