It should stay upright. Maybe you can take it out of the box?

Have someone else drive the pickup. Then you can stand in the back, during the ice storm, holding it upright.

It should stay upright. Maybe you can take it out of the box? As with all things that you wish to stay upright at all times, its not always practical.

It should stay upright. Maybe you can take it out of the box? Really? Oopps! I transported my Father-in-Law's plasma in my trunk on its side. It is still working 6 months later, so I guess I didn't damage it too much... Next you will tell me I shouldn't have transported my LCD in my same trunk.
