Oh, and the "cabinet" each speaker will be in will be 12" wide by 48" tall, by 12" deep"...give or take, 7" or so back from the exterior finished wall. With the speakers near the top, angled down at the listener. Why the speaker at the top, and angled you ask?? Well, in my compromise with the Misses, I said I would make these great recesses so she can use them for decoration, so I have to account for something possibly blocking the speakers. Like a ...wooden...abstract giraffe or something. Man, these relationships can really put a damper on a guys theater aspirations!!!

Yeah Yeah Yeah! I know! I think it will end up looking very nice. Hopefully it sounds as good as it looks. I'll have some pics...eventually.

Ryann - give her the room. Dig out a space in the attic, or basement, or garage, our outhouse that can be yours. Give her the Bose cubes she deserves with her abstract giraffe.

As long as your not using the dawghouse, you're OK!! ;\)

Half of communication is listening. You can't listen with your mouth.

Don't give up! It took me 11 years of marriage to get my own man room.

It's been 20 years with my wife, 14 of them married and I still don't have my OWN room.

Guys, just this year, after 26 years of wedded bliss, I finally got my own man cave! You all have a looooong way to go.

As for the original question, like Jay said, the W or T series is probably a better way to go. Putting any speaker into a recess is going to compromise the sound.

I started out with nothing & I've still got most of it left
