I like AB a lot, and don't find it sour or salty. Try Melchior, it's an amazing mustard ale.

Even better than Arrogant Bastard, which I find quite tasty, is Double Bastard. Everything that Arrogant Bastard is, but twice as strong.

I really like Arrogant Bastard, and basically all the Stone beers. The seasonals and limited-release beers are consistently outstanding, IMO. I'm drinking a Pikop Anropov's Imperial Stout from Hale's tonight. It's everything I want it to be. Yes, Ken and I owe the collective a report on the Brouwer's Hard Liver Barleywine festival. It was superb! Beer culture is pretty horrible in Hawaii, if my recent experience is indicative. A saving grace was Maui's Coconut Porter. It was terrific!

I'm typing a couple of days after the fact, so not much detail. Rogue Brutal Bitter -- very nice, definitely will buy again. Some kind of Doppelbock with stylized psuedo-German lettering that I can't read -- good but fortunately not so good that I need to figure out who made it so I can buy again. Unibroue Fin Du Monde -- seems like the taste of this might have changed gradually over the last year or so. Wish I knew how to describe all the different "beer tastes", but maybe "heavier" and "more citrus" ? Might have to pick up another bottle along with something to compare it with, maybe Chimay brown or something... I just discovered that a few friends at work organize regular microbrewery tours around Ontario, so I'll try to join up with them next time.... ... ohmigod, hope they're not looking for a Designated Driver

I drank the last beer in the house last night -- a Guinness. What ever am I going to do now?

I tried that. The kids must have found the beer I stashed in the toilet tank.
