I was so shocked by the difference that I'll probably grab a real SPL meter next time im passing a radio shack.
You might call ahead to make sure they have one. I stopped at 2 local Radio Shacks and neither had one plus none of the employees even knew what I was talking about. I ended up ordering a package deal from SVS. Here is the current one: http://www.svsound.com/products-parts-avia.cfm

I know SVS subs often get recommended and I’ve seen a few recommendations for some of their speakers from time to time but I’ve never heard them or taken the time to research them myself.
If you ordered the disk it should have instruction on how to use it, the older version I got did. If not post back here and we can point you in the right direction.

I haven't heard much about SVS's speakers, but their subs are certainly well regarded as you say Dean(and reasonable $$).

Well I ended up upgrading my center from the VP100 to the VP150 to go with my new EP500. Thats all the upgrading I can do with my bedroom system no more space. So my bedroom system is basically now the epic grand master 500.

I am in the process of changing the EP175 to the EP500 and the VP100 to the 150 and I allready have the 2 M22s and the 2 Qs8s but I wasnt happy with the 175 sub and then I figured I better upgrade the center too to hear over my new bass. Should have it all in the next 6 days or so.

That's going to be a great system, esp with the EP500.

As an EP500 user, I can tell you that it certainly takes the experience to a whole new level. But correct setup is essential. Enjoy the 500!
