I was really disappointed on my last trip to Germany, when I found that Nurburgring was in Nurnberg, not Nuremberg. Apparently they are different cities, and quite some distance apart ;(

I dunno. I suspect that a lot of this is driven by more reporting, more instant reporting, and wider awareness of what happens in other communities.
