John Mayer put on one hell of a show. One of the best parts was the cover of "Signs" by the five mand electircal band where he winged the lyrics based on the text on all of the signs the crazy people where holding up... good stuff! killer drum and then guitar solo to end the show. Concert started at 8 and lasted till 11:30, 2 hours of which was john mayer jamming out. Franki and Spearhead (the openers) put on a helluva show! here is a pic from my iphone from our seats. We have a lot of decent pics and video clips from our camera too, may post some of those when I have time. I highly recommended anyone who is a john mayer fan to see him in concert!

We saw Jesse Cook at The Centre in The Square in Kitchener (not a large venue about 2000 people) 2 nights ago. It was a good concert. He played for about an hour and three quarters. He is a very good guitar player. His band is very talented as well. Great to hear the live music in a good venue.

Here is a video I recorded at the John Mayer concert last night... The clip starts off with a killer guitar solo. after about 5-10 seconds it comes into focus better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVyjWxrsyVI

Is that Steve Jordan on the drums back there? Looks like it.
Glad you enjoyed the show David!

Yah, Steve Jordan is a part of the John Mayer Trio an apparently often tours with the full band. That guy can rock on the drums! Here is a sample of what he had to offer at the show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUtZylQTSHoThis was one of the best concerts I have been to by far.

Has anyone ever seen Rodrigo y Gabriela live? Tix on sale tomorrow morning and I'm wonderin'.... No. But I'd certainly buy them if they came within my travel range.

The original CD with the alligator eye has some great concert footage on the DVD that comes with it. Quiet amusing actually to see all the headbanging and devil signs going up like it was Iron Maiden playing when it is actually two acoustic guitar players. They certainly have an enthusiastic fan base.

I've seen Rodrigo y Gabriela live. They were fantastic. It was at a music festival, and I had planned on watching half of R&G's set and then going to watch the band playing on the other stage, but I couldn't bear to leave the R&G performance. (BTW, I really enjoy the DVD that came with their first disk. One of their subsequent disks also has a DVD, but I haven't watched it yet.)
I saw Muse a few weeks ago and thought they were great. Second time I've seen them, and really enjoyed them both times.

I'm jealous. I really want to see Rodrigo y Gabriela. I'd settle for a nice Blu-ray release, though. I can't wait for more bands to start releasing concerts on Blu-ray.
