I watched Cloverfield the other day, and it sure did give my EP500 a solid work out; the sound is pretty phenomenal.

Later I saw “Serenity” and went out and bought “Firefly” and watched the whole thing in one sitting. Amazing show! Well, I have to admit to an ulterior motive with my original question. I'm been trying to get CV to buy / watch the Buffy series since he watches lots of TV-series on discs and I thought he would really appreciate the witty banter and character development. Pointing out that people love other Joss Wheden series was going to give me ammo to poke him one more time. The Buffy series went on sale on Amazon the other day, so I tried noting that to him. Alas, I was reBuffed.

I watched Buffy only after I watched and loved Firefly. When I noticed it was the same creator/main-writer, I decided to give it a try... and Amazon had an incredible deal on the series at the time! I was not disappointed. You need to watch a few episodes, but it grows on you fairly fast. Altough, to this day, I am not entirely convinced about the scientific facts behind vampires...

I'll try it out at some point, even though I already feel I've given Joss Whedon a fair shake. I don't know why I haven't been able to get into any of his stuff.

I am not entirely convinced about the scientific facts behind vampires... Well, me neither. For me, I thought the series really took off after it's first, "half season" (it was a mid-year replacement). I truly think it has better character development than almost any series I can think of, with the exception of All in the Family. Joyce and I have loaned out the series to 12~15 people, and each has become a serious fan!

Yeah, I watched most of Firefly (I don't remember where I stopped, but I think I got through at least 75% of it), Serenity, the first part of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, and Alien: Resurrection. And he wrote the screenplay for Toy Story, so there's something he's done that I actually liked.

CV hasn’t watched Buffy? Really? WTFO? Dammit, we need to stage an intervention! Oops! Should have refreshed the browser window you guys left me in the dust. P. S. It’s not about Joss Whedon it's about Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Friends don’t let friends not watch Buffy. Besides it’s about Buffy and not that narcissistic dweeb who came up with it. I’ll give him credit for having a knack for picking the right people for parts.

Because you liked it so much, or for some other reason? Easy for me to answer
Summer Glau! I bought season 1 and 2 of the Sarah Connor Chronicles beacuse of Summer Glau.
