The 'reggae rock with a lot of funk' sounds of "Fugato". Going to their new CD launch party tomorrow night. Their old CD can be sampled in full Here. The lead vocals are not my favorite ever but they are great musicians with a sound that is refreshingly far from radioish. (OK that isn't a word. but it could be...)
With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

Good choice, Ed.
I went looking for some Jane Monheit today but came up empty. I'm assuming she would be in either the "easy listening" or in the "blues/jazz" section, but nada.
Half of communication is listening. You can't listen with your mouth.

I like Jane Monheit!
Still listening to Jazz Christmas stuff on Pandora, but I'm about done. Peaked too early.
I still do need to hear "Santa Claus and his old lady" and the Bob and Doug MacKenzie 12 Days of Christmas, though.
And a beer, in a tree.

He deserves to be up there with Freddy Mercury and Robin Zander as one of the best rock vocalist ever. Yup. And Paul McCartney and Robert Plant and Roger Daultry, and Elvis, and Roy Orbison and Burton Cummings and, um, I'm sure I'm missing a few... Oh yea, Neil Young too.
