Thanks for your thought on it. I’ve had it since October but it wasn’t high on my list of things to watch and now it’s dropped a little lower.
I’m still watching Inu-Yasha and liking it a lot. It works very well over time since there are several episode story arcs like in “Full Metal Alchemist.”

I still have a couple of seasons of Inu-Yasha on DVD that I haven't watched. I should get around to that. I do like the show a lot.
I've taken a break from Heroic Age to watch Claymore, which I'm enjoying a lot more.

I think I’m only on disk 13 of I think 56 of “Inu-Yasha.“ The only annoyance about this show for me is the way the sister talks. Other than that I really like it. It cracks me up every time Kagome says “Sit boy!“
I’ve also got “Claymore” waiting to be watched at six disks it looks like a possible marathon watch. I’m interested to hear your thoughts if it seems like they type that could be watched all in one session.

I finished watching Claymore last night. The episodes do keep you wanting to watch the next one. I would say they were starting to drag the action out toward the end, or at least it felt that way since you wanted them to get on with the story, as opposed to earlier in the story when it wasn't yet headed in a clear direction. Despite the minor impatience I was feeling by the end, I did enjoy the series. I would watch it again sometime. There were some fun ideas, but it would have been nice if they'd gone just a bit further.

Leverage and Dead Like Me. I love the music in those shows. And, you know, the comedy, too...

Just finished Season 2. Apparently there will be a Season 3 starting this summer. Netflix was getting them only a couple days after they aired, which was pretty cool.

I just watched the Blu-ray of “9.” I can say it didn’t suck but then it wasn’t great either. The video quality was great and even for a post apocalyptic dreary world it wasn’t to dark either. The audio quality was as good or better than the video with decent LFE and occasional discrete surround effects.
OTOH the store was way to formulaic which is sad given the uniqueness of the animation overall. It’s worth watching but only for the video and audio as you’ve likely already seen this story several times before.
After that I started watching the Blu-ray of “Dante’s Inferno.” I don’t think I made it even 15 minutes before hitting eject. Why in 2009 someone would make an animated movie that looks like it comes from the 70s to early 80s is beyond me. I didn’t like the voice acting of the main character either. Chalk this one up as a waste of a rental for me.

I just ordered '9' on BR this morning from amazon, I *hope* we like it. Along with that movie I also ordered all three Bourne movies on BR, seems like the fella I loaned our three standard definition Bourne movies several months ago can't remember borrowing the movies from me and says they're not anywhere in his arsenal, dimmitt. I also loaned our standard definition Air America DVD to another friend several months ago who also can't remember taking delivery from this particular movie from me and also states no such movies exist in his collection, double freakin' dimmitt. Three of my most favorite movies in our collection.
Lesson learned, Rick will longer loan *any* DVD from his personal collection to anybody ever again.

I hope you like it too. I’ve been pretty careful about buying Blu-rays I haven’t watched at least the standard def version of. The new “Star Trek” movie is the only one so far. I’ve also been very picky about what I’ve upgraded. While I splurged and got a few right off the bat everything I’ve bought since then has been well discounted, movies I like watching and well reviewed for improved quality of the Blu-ray version. I’ve passed up on several movies I like just because the transfers weren’t reviewed to be a significant improvement over the standard def.
Those two movies I just tried are the first Blu-rays I’ve watched in quite some time. I still mostly watch standard def since that’s what all my anime series are, but I can’t complain since the Oppo upscales very well in general and superbly on animation.
Last month I loaned both my “Gundam Seed” series to someone and I’ve been sweating it since they are out of print.
