The DTS mix on the new Diana Krall "Live in Paris" DVD is phenomenal. Sting's latest album, Brand New Day, on CD or DVD-A is a fantastic recording as well.
As for movies, I have yet to hear anything that challenges the "dynamic range" of a speaker more than the first 30 minutes of Moulin Rouge.

Hi fhw. I just picked up the Diana Krall DVD. Haven't listened yet, but I have had the pleasure of listening to the new Willie Nelson DVD-A disc. WOW! Beautiful recording.
This was my first DVD-A experience with my new Toshiba SD9200, Onkyo 797 Denon 2 channel amp for back surround speakers, Axiom M50 fronts, Merak MC6H horn tweeter center, Merak MT66 side surrounds and Mission 77ds back surrounds.
I highly recommend the Willie Nelson Night & Day DVD-A for those with the equipment to cope.
Also listened to the new Judi Collins Both Sides Now DVD-A, Disappointing. Why the difference?
Here's a quote from the insert in the Willie Nelson DVD-A:
"no compromises. Our software is not copy-protected or watermarked. Because, as sure as fidelity means faithful, we believe the quest for honest sound is a pastime of honest people."
This recording is pure sounding!
Enjoy the Music. Trust your ears. Laugh at Folks Who Claim to Know it All.

I just got the Misa Criolla and first impression is...well different than my usual suspects. Don't get me wrong I actually enjoyed listening to it. I just need to sit down, after my system is set up in my new house. I put the M22s on the counter, along with a pair of Mirage M90s (?), and a pair of BA HD5s. I used my Luxman amp and cheap Yammie cd player. The 22s are more forward and bright than the Mirage, but lack the bass. I will test again when I can sit on my duff in a comfy chair and really let the speakers sing. Hopefully by then the setup will be better for sound.
