I dunno, I think VP180 is about right... it only has one more driver than the VP150 after all. Seems like a logical progression IMO.

Yeah, VP800 would be about right. Maybe VP180 is just a typo. No, we all lobbied for that, but were overruled by the owner and CEO of the company.

Micah has a good point though - VP180 has 6 drivers vs 5 for VP150 so I guess VP180 does make a lot of sense. The new speaker just seems so much more... substantial than the model number would suggest. I wonder what Ian had in mind for the *real* VP800 when he nixed that name for this speaker ?

Yeah, mathmatically speaking with the VP100 having 3 drivers the VP150 actually should have been called the VP166.6, then they could have called this one the VP200.
But who in the hell would buy a speaker called the VP166.6???
