HG Rosewood's (I think I'm done)
I am putting the link up for my previous gallery so I won't have to post all my old pics back here. My system has changed quite a bit since I joined up here a few years ago. In this gallery I will give all the details of my current setup and hopefully my last setup. So here we go! http://www.axiomaudio.com/boards/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showgallery&Number=212511#commentsAll my speakers have the HG Rosewood finish. the setup has: Fronts M80's Centre VP180 Side Surrounds A's M80's Side Surrounds B's QS8's Rear Surround VP150 Subwoofers front l and r EP800's Subwoofer rear EP500 Other equipment Powering the front soundstage Axiom A1400-8 Powering all the surrounds in bridged mode Denon POA-A1HDCI Pre-Pro Denon AVP-A1HDCI Universal player OPPO BDP-83 DVD player OPPO DV-983H Satellite Receiver Bell 9242 Apple TV Monitors 60" Pioneer Kuro PRO-141FD For watching visuals 23" Samsung SyncMaster 2333HD For listening to music That's it. I will "suffer" with what I currently have until death us do part. Maybe one day I will get a proper HT room but not in my current house. Luckily I have no more room for speakers.

Men, I never get jealous of anything or anybody but I have to say, of this one I am jealous! Forget of sharing the experience with someone else, one seat only I think I should seriously consider a divorce Amazing setup! Make sure you wear your sunglasses How do you like the combination M80 + QS8 for surround?

Make sure you wear your sunglasses How do you like the combination M80 + QS8 for surround? Thanks Bruno. I love having both the M80's and QS8's as my side surrounds. I like having an equal front and side sound hitting me and the QS8's won't go as low as the M80's. All my M80's and the VP180 are set to large so low frequencies are not a problem. The QS8's fill in for movies to get the overhead effect that you can't get with the M80's. I don't know if this is the way that it should be done but it sounds great to my ears and that's all that really matters. I'll have to get Jay back up here to see what he thinks.

The good thing is that when you do get married you'll never hear a thing she says. Awesome setup Onn!

Why spoil the good thing I've got going. You know, in todays' world that is so true. It used to be people would marry to lock in what they had. But divorce is so prevalent that that doesn't work anymore anyway. Once the spouse is locked-in, then attitudes change and the relationship tends to get stale instead of the freshness that it deserves.

It's not hard to add freshness. Just last night, for example, my wife stole my favorite pillow. I waited for her to fall asleep before yanking it back from under her head.

Your favorite pillow? I must lead a very sheltered life.

Onn, Here is an old Audioholics review where the reviewer had a very similar 7.1 setup. http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/speakers/floorstanding/axiom-audio-epic-80-600/page-5 He used the M80's as rear surrounds and qs8's are surrounds. Just something you may want to try out. But, that vp150 as a rear surround doesn't seem like it could compete with the qs8's or the m80's and probably needs to find a new home. I know when I replace my vp150 with an upgraded center, I'm going to have a tough time finding a place to put it too.

I only have 4 feet behind me so the M80's probably wouldn't work to well there. Like my thread title says, I think I'm done. I will try out the VP150 as my rear for a year and see how it goes. If I'm not happy with it I'll get another QS8. I'm in no rush right now and I need to leave my system the way it is, for my sanity. I've had enough of tweaking for the time being. I just need Jay to come over and run the REW and see what needs to be done.
