Soooo - any word from Ian relative to festivities or events.
Where will the Friday night bacchanal be held? Ray, I believe on Saturday there's listening tests and a tour of the plant, then a barbecue followed by festivities at Ian's dock or the plant; depending on the weather. I don't recall any mention of debauchery or gathering of any sorts Friday night. I was wondering if there's a bar close by.

I've been really tied up lately, so haven't done any of the name badges.... but I'll get them done this weekend.
I was wondering if some of us would like a list of each other's cell phone numbers?
Certainly, we can all trade individually, but I can compile them and create a .PDF, text files or whatever. I'd say if you give your number, you get the list of numbers.
PM me...

Great idea, Mark. Wait, did I just say that?

No need for my cell #. Just pick up the tin can with the string and shout into it...

Everybody should check with their service provider. I checked with mine (Sprint) and found that calls would cost me 59 cents a minute, texting would not be charged extra, and I was told, in no uncertain terms, to turn off my data. The Sprint rep told me of people traveling internationally ending up with $2000 to $3000 bills from using the data link when roaming.
However, they have a $2.99 per month plan for international travel that drops the cost to 21 cents per minute for phone calls. I only had to pay for the one month.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to check AT&T... For those of us coming from the states, here's an elementary primer on the highlights of C-A-N-A-D-A, enjoy! Scott

I was wondering if some of us would like a list of each other's cell phone numbers? Further, if people think it'll be helpful, I can list (rough) arrival day/times and departure day/times, and which hotel people are staying at. Let me know if that sounds good. Note that I'm leaving early for a few days in Niagara Falls, so I have to wrap this up by Monday! PM me...

This is what I had in mind: I haven't gotten much of a response to the initial "cell number" inquiry, though.... is this something people are uncomfortable with?

Yeah, I'm wondering also if people who arrive in time want to get together somewhere on Friday night. Here's a listing of some local eateries/pubs/bars: http://www.huntsville-on.worldweb.com/RestaurantsBars/. Maybe if Amie can use her local knowledge to recommend a specific place, we can just plan on a gathering there for Friday night at 6PM for whoever wants to come by? I was originally wondering about this place when this whole thing was just an idea: http://www.onthedockspub.com/main.htm. Their website kind of sucks, but a Google street-level photo made the place look enticing:

I wonder if that upper deck has enough tables... and elevator access for Cam. Dinner and drinks overlooking the water. Nice!
