Well, I would have much preferred that the chamber canceled out olfactory senses rather than auditory.

Well, I would have much preferred that the chamber canceled out olfactory senses rather than auditory. Only the NRC has one of those. The rest of us make do with exhaust fans.

Got a PM from BobKay mentioning that the absence of some of us regulars was discussed. I would love to have been there to meet everyone though I’m sure I would have been absent for a few hours each day to do some running in what I imagine is a beautiful and right now much cooler area.
Unfortunately the nature of my job meant that 9/11 was going to be a non-starter for me from the beginning. A coworker is fond of saying that we aren’t paid the good money for what we do day-to-day, which honestly isn’t much compared to our civilian counterparts, but rather for what we know how to do when it’s crunch time.

I didn't make it, because the timing fell too close to another trip I had been planing for five years.
I'm off to Romania in about six hours! But first a two hour drive to the airport to arrive at least two hours early so I can sit in the terminal and wait.
