I'm back in Virginia for 36 hours for a job interview. Fredericksburg has a new beering destination - paging all Axiomites, but especially pmbuko due to proximity - and I'm here at the Capital Ale House, which is conveniently three blocks down from my hotel. I'm enjoying an Avery Ellie's brown ale on draft as I wait for my smokehouse burger.
Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica.

36 hours and you gave me no forewarning? Avery makes awesome beers. What are you doing tomorrow? It's possible I can free myself, but you know how kids are.

Peter, if you leave right now you can make it to the Ale House in about an hour, and JP will undoubtedly still be there, drinking.

This is a write-up on the excellent beer bar that Tom and I visited in D.C. I really must return. http://www.dcfoodies.com/2010/09/churchkey-.html

I'll have to take JP there to welcome him back to Virginia.

I was recently in Europe, and visited an amazing town called Bruge in Belgium.
They had a few interesting places - as you might imagine being a well known beer culture. Kwak, which came in a funny shaped, rounded bottom glass - and requisite wooden stand/holder.
My fave was a Cherry beer, while my wife prefered the Chocolate.
I need to reconnect with my relatives in Belgium, as I would move there in a heartbeat!!

Kriek in Bruges?!?! Where's the "jealous" smiley? Can I reconnect with your relatives in Belgium, too?

Peter, why do you make my envious of the life I don't have?
