If there's no significant crease in the dent, PDR is definitely the way to go. You won't be able to tell it was even there.

I've never tried it myself, but I've read/heard others say that using dry ice can help remove small dents from cars.

Dry ice dent removal

Maybe worth a shot since dry ice would only cost a few dollars.

I've seen dry ice pop out dents on hail damaged aircraft skin but that's the first time I've seen it used on car sheet metal and the aircraft skin only took a fraction of the time as the hood in the video did.

Apparently it can damage the paint. I've read comments on a couple YouTube videos stating this.


The only reasonable argument for owning a gun is to protect yourself from the police.

What was interesting about the dry ice video was that he spent a lot of time showing you how to do it, then in the last few seconds he says that body shops(including his) don't like to use the method because it doesn't work very well, esp when the metal warms up in the sun it tends to return to it's dented form.
