Sean, I really don't know why you're believing a word that comes out of that guys mouth !

I don't even know how to describe myself?
Like some kind of cross between an elephant and Superman's Fortress of Solitude?

I bet if you shake off that snow you're quite svelte. That is snow, right?

Either that, or I need to invest in a bottle of Head and Shoulders.

I usually wait for games to hit the $20 mark before I buy them. But I gave in and got Gran Turismo 5 on Wednesday while I was out for lunch. I took Thursday off work. I do need to go in on Friday, but I know what I'm doing this weekend.

I played a bit of GT5 online last night. I jumped into somebody else's lounge (game). There were just 2 guys in there and obviously friends as I could hear them talking to each other. They were lining up at the start/finish line for drag race between a Bugatti Veyron and newer Dodge Charger Hemi. The timing was perfect - they had just lined up side by side and were at a dead stop with barely a car's width between them - I happened to come around behind them at that exact moment doing way over 200 km/h in an Audi R8. I lined them up and blasted between them with inches to spare - did not touch either one of them. It was hilarious to hear them both yell and react at the exact same time. Too much fun. You're going to have fun this weekend Chris!

Its to bad that after 5 years in the making and one delay after another, Sony still can't make a superior racing game than Forza 3 which only took 2 years to make and released 1 year prior.
This is what happens with a system with complicated dev tools.
I’m armed and I’m drinking. You don’t want to listen to advice from me, amigo.

Yeah, I'm not sure what all is included in the online customization in GT 5 but the user storefronts with custom tunes, paint jobs, decals, etc that you can sell for credits in forza 3 is insane! Selling or gifting cars is a nice touch too, along with the in game photo and video uploading. The customization And online user storefront in forza 3 is simply amazing. Does gt5 have a similar setup?

Still learning as I go David, but i think it's safe to say it won't be as extensive as Forza. From what I've seen so far we're limited to paint and wheel colours and aero kits. The rest are all performance related and not so much visual. GT is really focused on the simulation of the car physics and turns a blind eye to many of the 'extras' we are used to seeing in other racing games. However where I like it is it's sheer size and abundance of stuff to do and the actual driving feeling and racing. Anything else to me is a bonus.
For the record I am a GT fan because I have a PS3 only. If I had XBox I'm sure I'd love Forza or PC sims if I had a game worthy PC. You work with what you have!
