Randy, that was my experience, too. BUT I recall several posts from the "auction era" that indicated to me that there might be a meaningful difference in finish quality between FO speakers and B-Stock Auction speakers.

First post from a lurker.
I got a "B" VP150 last week off the auction site, and the only flaw I could find was with the grill.
There was this huge rip from one end to the other....just kidding.
When I took the grill off to check out the speakers, one of the pegs had the plastic seat attached to it. That I can live with. On Friday my "B" M60's arrive. I'll give you a shout if I find a scratch made by an ice pick.

I think that Mike and Peter are spot on, but I also think that Randy makes a valid point.
I think it would be very time consuming to photograph the blemishes. It's one thing to take a photograph of an entire product, but it's another to adequately capture a small scratch or nick (as an example). There's all kinds of variables like lighting, the angle at which you're taking the photograph etc., that don't come into play to the same extent as standing back a couple feet and taking a picture of an entire speaker. I wouldn't be surprised if it would take a handful of tries to capture a picture that would show a blemish.
Just my 2¢.
