Just don't stumble into the presidential bee hive. They'll call in the drones. Just ask Pakistan...

I went to my first homebrewer meetup last night. It was organized by a guy at work, and all of the other brewers (3) are scientists from work, so it was cool to hang out with them in a non-work setting. We started at 7pm, laying a nice foundation with pizza and fried mozzarella sticks, then dove right into the tastings. Things didn't wrap up until about 12:30am. We're def going to make it a regular thing.

I'm eating this damn tasty beer float now. The beer is my homebrew porter. The ice cream is Breyer's Vanilla Fudge Twirl.

Yum. Somehow the idea of a beer float had never occured to me before today.

I am overwhelmingly thirsty and hungry for this at the same time.
I bet a milk stout or chocolate stout would be awesome!
EDIT: I am going to the store to get this stuff. Peter's food pictures always get me.

I eat beer floats all the time. I started about a year ago.

I love to be floating when I drink beer but I admit, this never occurred to me either. I'll be giving it a try.

Is it wrong that the beer float sounds appealing while I'm having my morning coffee? Luckily my local store had a small supply of the Innis & Gunn Rum Cask beer on hand. Picked up 12 to savour on special occasions.

I usually just have a bowl of nice, vanilla bean ice cream (Tillamook or homemade) with a big stout on the side. Better bite-to-bite ratio control that way.

I need reading glasses. I read that as "bowl of rice".
