Watched The Last House on the Left, 2009 re-make. Pretty good horror flick, some pretty gruesome and disturbing scenes though. Double checked that all my doors were locked before bed...

Speed Racer
I was scared to watch it because I don't really like Emile Hirsch... or Christina Ricci... and I'm fairly ambivalent toward the Wachowskis. I was surprised when I was decently entertained by it. The insanely vibrant colors were fun, though I was actually expecting even more. The audio was good, too, though part of it is probably just that it's the first movie I've watched completely since hooking up my ButtKicker. I liked feeling the tires on the track whenever the cars would speed by.
Sean, that's cool that you're trying out Fullmetal Alchemist. I have part 4 of Brotherhood to watch, so that should be fun.

I watched the third Chronicles of Narnia movie, Voyage of the Dawn Treader. It's just OK, has the big important elements of the story. I'll keep buying them in hopes that they'll one day make The Magician's Nephew, my favorite book in the series (because it finally explains a lot of Narnia's secrets, and it should absolutely not be read first).

Sounds good to me. I might be free this Friday if that works for you, and the Friday after that for sure. I should know in a couple days at the most if I’ll be off this Friday. Sounds good, Dean. This Friday works for me. Let me know when you find out in a couple days.

I bought an watched The Dawn Treader and Tron Legacy.
I read rumors that The Dawn Treader may be the last one of the Narnia Chronicles to be made because of a general lack of interest. Disney made the first 2, then 20th Century Fox made the 3rd. I can only hope that this is a rumor.
Now Tron Legacy I'd rate in the Great Movie category myself. I really liked it because it was different and fast paced. Not a great story line but interesting movie anyways. I didn't realize that Jeff Bridges played in both of the Tron movies. Now I want to get the first one too.

My brother insisted I play the starting scene of "Valkyrie" for my sister-in-law who'd never heard my HT before. I told her it would make her jump, so you have to expect some loud effects when the anti-aircraft guns fire, I told her...."Don't worry, now that you've told me, it won't make me jump"...."You sure? it's pretty loud"......"No, I'll be expecting it so it won't"..."O-ka-yee".....Guns go off...BAMM!! BAMM!! BAMM!!....scrapes sister-in-law off the ceiling and shakes finger at her..."I told you so"....brother laughs.

I'll have to rent that one.
My favorite jumper is the ol standby, Master and Commander, for the first cannon fight. It fools you with the feint muffled guns off in the fog then BOOM! Impact and you heard lumber flying all around your head. If people don't jump, they duck.
With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

The Incredibles on Blu-ray. I only watched a couple of scenes, and not at normal movie-viewing volume levels. I'll have to wait until the weekend for a full viewing at proper volume. Still, very fun. I'm glad it's finally out.

I watched Never Let Me Go. So much for being thought provoking sci-fi. The trailer gave everything away to me. I guessed everything along the way, and the ending almost exactly. Just missed one prediction about the gallery by a tiny bit. I was even saying lines that the actors soon repeated, even though I had never heard them before.
So maybe it's fun for someone who hasn't consumed a constant diet of sci-fi since the age of five. But a by-the-book story for anyone who has.
