Not sure, but did you mean they dont glue the joints? i believe that really the only thing holding it all together is the veneer before they actually fold the speaker cabinet together, right?

Video of the torture chamber would be cool lol, you mentioned the driver excursion, i havent seen my M80's excursion make me say WHOA! of course, ive never had them hooked up to a 700 watt amp at full tilt

I wonder what Kerry King would think about Slayer albums being used to torture test speakers - after all, they've been used to torture parents for some time now.

Reminds me of the night I heard Dr. Demento play a Bathory song in the Audio Torture Chamber.

i wonder if they ever caught the guys that broke into the factory a year or two back. A good punishment would be to have them sit through a couple days of what the M80's can Really do! lol.

Note that there was a broken link to one picture yesterday which has since been fixed.

thanks for the report Chess, that was fantastically thorough & well worth the wait. Congrats to Axiom for once again showing their superior customer service. I mean how many companies would actually let you tour their factory (allowing you to see all their processes) and to catch a glimpse of the 'top secret' room (one can only imagine what was going on in there - hey where's all this drool coming from).

Thanks a lot for that Chess. Many thanks to Axiom too for allowing these pictures to be taken. A very thorough and neat report detailing all the important things.

The dust-trapping equipment deserves a second mention. It really shows the commitment that Axiom has towards the environment.

Kudos and keep them coming.

Fun and informative article Chess. Thanks for spending the time to share it.
Having worked w/ MDF baseboards and crown mouldings I can understand the need for dust control. W/out that vac system they'd probably need their snowplows year-round to get to work.
I had assumed Dwight was a city! It looks to me like they should open a hunting/fishing lodge next door.

I meant to post this correction some time ago but i forgot.
The aforementioned torture test that Ian puts to his speakers occurs for a full 100 hours, not just 24.
