Tucker & Dale vs. Evil

Entertaining premise, but it didn't quite pull itself together enough.

That reminds me, the other night it was "Chip vs. Dale: We've Had It With Each Other!"

We watched the first four episodes of "Breaking Bad" last night. I think I'm going to really like it.

We always try to give all the new network shows a chance. I'm now ready to give up on "Unforgettable", "Revenge", "Ringer" and "Two Broke Girls" (although Kat Dennings is delicious). Still enjoying "Up all night", "Happy Endings" and "Once upon a time".

I honestly didn't know that early on that I'd keep watching Breaking Bad. It could have gone either way for me for quite a while. I'm glad I kept watching.

Finally got the 8th season of NCIS, so I'm working on that. Oh, yeah, and I watched The Muppets a little earlier. It was all right, but I guess I never truly connected with them growing up. I wanted to see what Jason Segel did with it, though.

I watched Up in the Air last night. It was decently entertaining, but it did drift into pseudo-intellectual indie movie mode sometimes. Not nearly as off-putting as a lot of movies that try for "real" characters. Just felt like it could have been a little more. Still worth watching.

I got my $20 Jurassic Park blu-ray trilogy pack today. I just finished watching the 1st movie for the 1st time since it hit the theaters, so I didn't remember any of it from before. Lot's of good LFE, but at times it felt like too much and overpowering my sub. A sub bigger than EP350 would probably do this movie more justice. This was one of the few times I thought this. The EP350 normally does an excellent job.

It had the daughter from Blue Velvet in it. I love it when I see someone I know from another movie, but hate it when I have to ponder in what movie I saw them before.

I think that the 2nd Jurassic Park movie was as much fun as the first one.

Watched Home Alone on Blu Ray tonight. Nice picture and a surprisingly good 5.1 mix. The scene where Kevin is in the church has some really good low tones which I will guess are from a pipe organ, the house was vibrating pretty good.

I finally got around to watching The Darjeeling Limited last night. It's hard to get excited about Wes Anderson movies anymore, though I'll admit Fantastic Mr. Fox was pretty great. For whatever reason, I thought The Darjeeling Limited was going to annoy me. It did in some ways, but I may have liked it more than The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. At least Anderson makes pretty movies.

Today I re-watched the recent True Grit. Still very entertaining.
