That's a funny looking tweeter on top of that speaker Randy. Here's the Pioneers I had from back in the day, mid 70's CS922a. Not mine in the picture but a reference picture... The 922's sounded really nice paired with a Pioneer SX-1050 120w receiver that I also had... I'd love to have another SX-1050, that was really a nice unit.

I wonder if audio manufacturers will go retro with the cabinetry like the auto manufacturers have done with muscle cars.

That would be nice Jason, the wood case and brushed finish they used back then was really a nice touch. I was just looking online and read that a refurbished Pioneer SX-1050 was going for $799, which makes me somewhat sick because I think I sold mine at a garage sale for 20 or 30 bucks ... I have kicked myself in the behind many times since then for doing that.
What really sucks is that right now I'm tempted to buy one at a higher price just to have one.
Oh well.

amazing how many of us rocked out pioneer speakers around here. Still have my SA 7800 amp, SR303 reverb , Pl600 turntable, and my tuner and equalizer. Should see my other speaker tomorrow i hope then all will be well in the world lol

I had a receiver very similar to that until I got my H/K AVR525.

Man, that stinks. I sure hope I don't have the same issue. I have 7 speakers being delivered today supposedly. I hope all get here. I've already unhooked things.
